23.01.2022 Hopefully Michelle has it this easy in Tokyo. Don't forget Maleny is on from 1pm Sunday and we will be back at Maroochydore from the 12th.

21.01.2022 We recently held our AGM, which was a great opportunity to review the year that's been and look forward to the year to come. Your hardworking committee is now made up of the following members: Executive Committee President - Desley Payne Vice-President - Greg Williams... Secretary - Craig Cowan Treasurer - Jim Kyle Committee Members Martin Tribe Gary Kiorgaard Joel Carpenter Russell Treloar Jim Kenworthy Terese Anderson A massive thank you to Heather Dunlevie for her 5 years service as Secretary of the club. Heather was recognised with the President's Trophy for 2020 for her ongoing dedication to the club. A big welcome to new committee members Craig Cowan, Jim Kenworthy and Terese Anderson. Thank you for volunteering your time and energy. We have plenty planned for 2021 and your help is appreciated. There is no greater asset to this club than its members.

21.01.2022 Practice is on tonight, along with week 5 of the Spinneroos. Great to see the kids getting into their table tennis. Saturday we also have practice as well as the HWATT Training Camp. Next week is a wipeout - Tuesday and Thursday are out as the school will be using the hall for Year 12 events. Saturday 21st November we have the Special Olympics Table Tennis event on. Anyone who has some time spare please contact Desley, volunteers for setup and umpiring would be greatly a...ppreciated. Latest results will be posted once Sir Garfield has updated the website. This will include confirmation of the finalists for B Grade.

20.01.2022 Tomorrow night we are back for Spinneroos and practice/social play. Come along for a hit or to support our juniors. Last night was the final round of regular fixtures. We will have the results of the night including the B Grade semi finals shortly. If you lost a remote key at table tennis last night please contact us. The key is with Desley but if not claimed will be passed onto the school.

18.01.2022 Lesson 3 from the Spinneroos program

18.01.2022 Just remember, no Spinneroos or practice tonight due to the hall being unavailable. Saturday the hall is unavailable due to Special Olympics. Maleny is open Sunday from 1pm if you're keen for a hit and we are back for fixtures Tuesday. It will be our final week of regular season for A & C grade and the semi finals for B Grade.

15.01.2022 Latest results are up on the web, thanks to Sir Garfield. https://www.sunshinecoasttabletennis.club/2020 A Grade - Congratulations to our Minor Premiers Irish Dancing (Jerrod and Martin). They won 26/28 rubbers and have had a stellar season. They will take on 4th placed Highland in the semi, who have had a massive finish to the season after a slow start and pipped Ballroom (5th) by a single match. 2nd placed Line Dancing will take on Jazz (3rd) in the other semi. Congra...tulation to Dan Ettel who finished on top of the singles with 43 wins from his 56 matches. B Grade - In the battle of 1st vs 4th there was a boilover, with 4th placed Snickers defeating their Picnic rivals. It all came down the final match with Jonas defeating Mike in the 4th set of a tense encounter. In the second semi (2 vs 3) the Chokito team had a win over Bounty 6 matches to 4. Snickers will now play Chokito next week in the final, I'm sure it will be delicious. C Grade - The Leopards (Craig and Kathy) leapt to the top of the leaderboard and have retained their place, taking out the minor premiership. They will take on Lynx (4th, Kerrod & Isaac) next week in the first semi. Tigers (2nd, Eric & Sue) will take on Panthers (3rd, Archie & Heather) in the other semi. Archie sits on top of the singles ladder, but once absences are accounted for it will be Craig as number one. A fantastic season by both players. Hope to see you all tonight for some practice and next week for the remaining finals :-)

14.01.2022 In case you missed it... Maroochydore is currently closed for the Christmas break. We will return on Tuesday 12 January. We hope you have a safe and merry Xmas. Registrations for Summer season 2021 have now closed. We have 66 players registered and it's wonderful to see so many new and returning players. Teams will be announced once the process is completed.... Maleny Table Tennis is open on Sundays from 1pm - 5pm for social play even over the holiday period. They are looking at getting a handicap competition started from 2pm-3pm. If this interests you then please get in contact with them directly or with Greg Williams.

13.01.2022 Sir Garfield has been busy and results are now up. A Grade: There is just one week of regular fixtures left and the race for the finals is still tight. Irish Dancing continued their run of great form and will finish as minor premiers. Line Dancing had an off week, but will still finish in second place. Competition for the last two finals spots will be tough, with 4 teams still in contention.... For the singles draw Dan Ettel remains on top, with Mark Bagshawe and Adam Wood not far behind. B Grade: The regular fixtures are now done and we move forward toward the semi finals. Danny Yeung takes out the top singles spot, 3 wins in front of Jonas Campbell. Our Semi Finalists will be: Picnic (1st place, Mike Rodgers, Sharon Matherson, Judy Chin) vs Snickers (4th place, Jonas Campbell, Jim Kyle, Brian Cavanagh) and Chokito (2nd place, Bruce Taylor, David Harkins, Akash Mehta) vs Bounty (3rd place, Danny Yeung, Russell Treloar, Judy Zhang) C Grade: Craig Cowan returned to his winning ways and leads the single draw ahead of Archie Close. With just one week of regular fixtures left, Leopards (Craig Cowan and Kath Oakley) have taken front position again from the Tigers (Eric Frangenheim and Sue Sullivan). Next week's results will determine who takes top spot at the end of the regular season. 3rd Place has already been secured by Panthers, with Lynx, Lions and Jaguars all fighting out for the last finals place. A big thank you to Sir Garfield for his continued efforts to keep our results updated!

13.01.2022 Saturdays are busy in November! 14th - HWATT training camp. Come down and sharpen your skills as we get into the pointy end of the fixtures season. 21st - SCTT hosts the Special Olympics. We could use some volunteers to help set up for the event, please contact Desley if you can help.... 28th - SCTT vs Noosa. Sign up sheet will be in the hall on Tuesday and Thursday. A great chance to represent your club and play against some different players. Don't forget Maleny is open for practice today from 1pm.

06.01.2022 Welcome to the New Year at SCTT. We've got plenty going on, here's some important dates: 12 January - Maroochydore re-opens. This will be a practice night, but we need to see our fixtures players on the 12th so we can finalise teams. We have 23 players who are new or returning to regular fixture after an absence, so please come along and help us determine where everyone will best fit. 14 January - Thursday night practice resumes... 16 January - Saturday practice resumes 19 January - Fixtures will be back with our highest number of participants yet! 04 February - Spinneroos and our new junior program starts. 02.01.2022 Latest results are now up on the website. A Grade Dan Ettel retains top spot, while Irish Dancing and Line Dancing continue their dominance of the teams event. Still plenty of competition for spots 3 and 4 in the finals... B Grade Danny Yeung is still king of B Grade. The top 4 looks locked in with Picnic on top. C Grade Craig Cowan had the week off, but retains his top position. The Tigers unexpected loss opened the door for the Leopards to take top spot. The top 3 are now guaranteed a finals place, but spot 4 is still up for grabs.
