21.01.2022 Dental x-rays are important in identifying decay, areas of infection in the mouth and even oral conditions such as periodontal/gum disease. If you’re in pain, your dentist will often take an x-ray to accurately diagnose your condition. As part of your routine check-up, we also recommend bite wing xrays which may be taken every 1-2 years to detect tooth decay and to monitor or assess any existing fillings. At Sunshine Family Dental, we have state of the art dental imaging... equipment and can take bite wings and OPG xrays on site. Dental x-rays have very minimal radiation doses and are safe for both children and adults. However we do have lead aprons available and ask that you let us know if you may be pregnant prior to taking any x-rays For an appointment: Call: 9312 0263 9am-6pm 7 days a week Book online: 24/7 www.sunshinefamilydental.com.au/book-appointment/ Non-urgent enquiries via IG DM

14.01.2022 Recent ADA advice recommends that dental treatment in our area proceed as normal under level 1 restrictions. Until further notice we are able to provide check up and cleans, fillings, root canal treatment, extractions and emergency work. However, we are maintaining the strictest protocols including restrictions to the number of patients in the waiting rooms, covid -19 mandatory questionnaires, checking temperatures for each patient, social distancing, use of hand sanitisers and peroxide rinses. In the event we move to level 2 restrictions, we will keep you updated. As for now, please rest assured our opening hours remain the same.

02.01.2022 With the increasing concerns surrounding Coronavirus, we would like to reassure all our patients that we remain open but have taken extra precautions to ensure the utmost safety to our staff and patients. We are screening and advising all patients who have travelled in the last 2 weeks or have cold/flu symptoms to postpone treatment. We have also removed our toy box and magazines temporarily to minimise cross-contamination and encourage all patients to utilise our accessible... hand sanitisers in the waiting rooms prior to coming in for treatment. We ask that anyone accompanying patients give their details, travel and cold/flu history. There are currently sufficient masks and medical protective measures to continue to maintain our infection control protocol to the highest standard. You may be asked to use a safe, low concentration peroxide rinse prior to certain dental procedures to minimise the spread of infection. Interruptions to usual opening hours may occur and if required, temporary closure may also take place. We will endeavour to keep our patients well-informed and attempt to prioritise all urgent treatment. Thank you for your patience with us during this time and rest assured we are doing everything we can to maintain our safe, clean and professional dental environment. @ Sunshine Family Dental

Please be mindful that routine treatment not deemed necessary may be deferred. Appointment times are now extended to allow for strict precautionary measures and to minimise patient contact. We also ask that you do not arrive more than 5 mins earlier or bring visitors to your appointment, to minimise congestion in the waiting rooms. Our appointments are quickly filling up, so please also book in advance rather than walk in. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for your continued support.

02.01.2022 Decay that goes into the nerve/pulp of a tooth can cause severe, throbbing toothaches especially when youre trying to sleep, eat or have anything hot to drink. The dentists at Sunshine Family Dental are well-equipped with modern dental technology to diagnose, treat and ease your pain through root canal therapy. This means you can save your tooth instead of pulling it out!
