21.01.2022 ANZAC Day is commemorated on 25th April and is one of the most important national commemorative occasions in Australia, marking the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand armed forces during World War One. ANZAC Day helps young children to understand the life and times of Australia and its people. The ceremony and traditions are such an integral part of our culture.

Using the paper plate, encourage the child to cut lines/strips towards the centre of the paper plate to create fringes. 14.01.2022 What is healthy eating? To stay healthy and maintain a healthy weight, children need to be physically active and eat the right amount of nutrients to balance the energy they use. The Australian Dietary Guidelines recommend children should enjoy a wide variety of foods from these 5 food groups: fruit... vegetables, legumes and beans cereals (including breads, rice, pasta and noodles), preferably wholegrain lean meat, fish, poultry and/or alternatives milks, yoghurts, cheeses and/or alternatives (children under 2 should have full-fat milk, but older children and adolescents can have reduced-fat varieties) Healthy eating from the 5 food groups (above) is essential for all children.Children should limit their intake of foods that contain saturated fat, added salt or added sugar. They should also be encouraged to choose water to drink.
