16.01.2022 "No one can ever be as cool as me! Still, I can give you some advice on how to keep your furry friends comfortable this summer. Tip #1 for keeping your dog cool: Get rid of dog. Get a cat instead Tip #2: Ignore tip number 1. I apologise. Dogs are...great. (Real) Tip #1: Keep your pets indoors as much as possible or provide plenty of shade/shelter... #2 Cool drinking water should be available always! #3 Freeze treats or food overnight (For your pocket pets such as Rabbits, you can freeze water bottles and place them in their enclosure) #4 If possible, provide a small pool (keep those paw pads nice and cool) Groom excess fur/undercoat but do not shave entirely #5 Avoid walks! (especially in the afternoon)" If you notice any signs of heat stress (Such as excessive panting or drooling, increased body temperature, vomiting, weakness or lethargy) please contact us immediately on 9312 2500

14.01.2022 We are closing today for 2019! Please call us before 7pm if you need anything and we will reopen again on January 6th 2020 Update on Dr Sos - as many of you know Dr Sos was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma (cancer of the bone marrow) at the start of this year. Aggressive treatment with chemotherapy and a stem cell replacement at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre has occured this year with fantastic results. We are happy to report that he is currently cancer free and feeling good -... the photo below is from our recent christmas lunch and as you can see he's still smiling! Dr Sos still needs some time to get his strength back but hopes to see you all in 2020. Merry Christmas from all of us at the Sunshine Vet!

If you have an appointment:... Please arrive on time/let us know if you will be late Call when you arrive and stay inside your vehicle A staff member will collect your pet from the car park. The veterinarian on duty may then contact you via phone call have your mobile phone handy (if possible) A staff member will return your pet and organise payment Card is preferable over cash Purchasing supplies (Food, medications, flea and worming products etc): Please call first so that our staff can organise what you need over the phone Again, let them know when you arrive and stay in your vehicle- one of our people will bring your items out to you. Card is preferable over cash. They can also take payments over the phone. I hate to admit, but the safety of humans is our concern as well. Someone needs to feed us! Thank you for your understanding.
