06.01.2022 *FEEL GOOD FRIDAY* This weeks feel good Friday is all about teammates Cathie, Suzanne and Natalie who are taking part in this this year’s event in honor of their friend, Kerry Watts. In 2019 Kerry battled through illness and became an inspiration to many when she completed the cycle leg of the Ironman 70.3 Busselton and received the 2019 Paul Goodman award. Kerry showed great resilience during this time and it was her positive attitude and passion for triathlon that drew the...se ladies together. Sadly, in February this year Kerry lost her battle with breast cancer and it was then that these teammates decided to tackle this challenge together. The three will be participating as part of 'Kerry’s Magpies', a team dedicated to honoring the life of Kerry and who will cross that finish line knowing that she has been with them every step of the way. If you’ll be at the event, make sure you keep an eye out for the ladies with the butterfly t-shirts and spur them on as they challenge themselves and each other in memory of their friend Kerry.

06.01.2022 Not too sure if you’ve got what it takes to complete the SunSmart Ironman 70.3 Busselton? Think again! Aaron is about to take on his first Ironman 70.3 after only recently learning how to ride a bike and perfecting his swim technique. ... Aarons advice, put yourself in a difficult spot and that enables growth. Good luck to Aaron, all the first timers and all our return competitors headed down to Busselton for the SunSmart Festival of Triathlon in just over ONE MONTH!!

03.01.2022 The first of our Feel Good Fridays is all about teammates Steph and Danni who are taking part in the event as part of team ‘Broken Brain and Baby Brain Tri Again!’ Both women completed the event in 2017 as individuals but will be back in 2020 as a combined duo. Shortly after the 2017 event, Steph suffered a brain hemorrhage but since undergoing daily rehab has been given the all clear to jump back on the bike. ... Danni will be joining her and completing her first event since 2017 after recently having a baby. If you’ll be down in Busselton this October, make sure you keep an eye out for these ladies and cheer them on as they strive for that finish line feeling!
