25.01.2022 So this is a Stand Alone we did recently in Nimbin using the Pylontech Lithium Batteries and I've got to say that the battery cabinet looks like a funky little fridge. It's a very tidy piece of kit.

24.01.2022 So AC and DC coupled stand alone power systems both have their advantages, DC coupled systems look after your batteries better and AC Coupled are more flexible and expandable. I like them both but if you want an AC and DC Coupled system just let me know.

22.01.2022 So the end of this year marks 20 years of installing Stand Alone Power Systems in the Northern Rivers for Sunsparks and what a year it's been. We still install DC Coupled stand alone systems with lead acid batteries and they are still the most reliable system. We are also installing AC coupled systems with lithium ion batteries for both grid connect and stand alone systems and they are also working a treat. I will post some photos of these in this post. This year has seen th...e drought and the fires strike our region which added up to a few lost weeks in spring and summer. If only it would rain. Also, we lost a friend, Marco Selva, who did his time with Sunsparks a few years ago and he will be missed. We also added a new apprentice, Conor Irvine, which makes two apprentices now and it's great to hangout with the young guys. It always disappoints me when people criticize the young folk but all of the ones I meet are better than we ever were at most things. So thanks to Simon Thomas, Lucas Ritter, Miles Healey, Conor Irvine and Scott Poad. Looking forward to next year Shannon Lacy Sunsparks Electrics See more

20.01.2022 Yesterday we went back to our roots for an old fashioned DC coupled stand alone power system. Reliable electricity when you need it.

16.01.2022 They may create a little more heat but these black panels really do look good. We are doing them from every major panel maker at the moment.

11.01.2022 Well the weather has stopped the show at Sunsparks and everyone is keeping out of the rain. Don't forget to charge your batteries when it's like this.

11.01.2022 Enjoying doing a few of these at the moment, probably the best Stand Alone or Grid Connect System you could buy.

11.01.2022 This is what happens when you buy cheap solar from a dodgy company, fractured cells and burnt out cable. We repaired this because the original installers wouldn't come back. This system is less than five years old. You get what you pay for.

09.01.2022 These are our favourite panels at the moment, 350 watts of monocrystaline half cell power.

07.01.2022 No solar today, or most of the last week for that matter, but at least the creeks is up. Be careful with your creek crossings today.

06.01.2022 This is a battery upgrade for a stand alone power system we did nearly 20 years ago. We're using the huge Sonnenschein 2600 AH and we've never moved batteries so heavy. Stacks of power there.

06.01.2022 The LG Resu Lithium Ion Battery, we've used a few of these and are getting good results from them.

03.01.2022 Our love of frogs never ends, not sure what this one is.
