23.01.2022 We're proud (and terrified!) to present the latest short film from Aussie director D.C. Fairhurst: White Void! "[We challenged] ourselves to not rely on darkness or the fear of something lurking in the shadows, but instead tell a story in a bright, welcoming or sterile location and still creep the hell out of the audience." Just in time for Halloween, horror fans won't want to miss this spine-tingling, fresh take on the genre. Catch the exclusive premiere via the link below and let us know what you think!

12.01.2022 It's with great sorrow that we farewell international bestselling author and 2012 Supa-Star Roxanne Conrad, otherwise known by her pen name, Rachel Caine, who passed away peacefully on November 1st. With over 56 books in print, Rachel, as most knew her, was most loved for her Morganville Vampire Series, Great Library series, and the #1 bestselling Stillhouse Lake novels. During her time at Supanova, she loved meeting fans, and whenever there was a break in the queue, she woul...d grab her laptop and keep writing, as she was on a four-book deadline that year. We recall that there was a sign stuck to the back of her laptop, which read 'author at work', perfectly exemplifying her cheeky sense of humour that we loved so much. Rest in peace, Roxanne, and thank you for leaving us with the wonderful books we’ll treasure forever.

06.01.2022 Back in 2003, when Supanova was still in its infancy, we wanted to do everything we could to ensure our first ever Brisbane show was one to remember. We reached out to two iconic Star Wars actors: Peter Chewbacca Mayhew, and the man behind the mask of possibly the greatest theatrical villain of all time, Darth Vader - Supa-Star David Prowse. 17 years later, Supanova in Queensland is a testament to the love and enthusiasm fans showed him that weekend. We can honestly say tha...t our Brisbane and Gold Coast shows are owed in no small part to the momentum David helped build. A character actor and weightlifting champion, the stress on David’s enormous physique eventually took its toll, but thanks to the stellar support from the Star Wars community, he was kept busy travelling the world visiting conventions until he retired from the circuit a few years ago. For a star who infamously played the galaxy’s worst Dad, it seemed a direct contrast to the actual man who was an absolute delight to work with, garnering the ongoing love and respect of those of us who were lucky enough to meet him all those years ago. Our prayers go out to David's friends and family. May he rest in peace in a place Far, Far Away, but ever close in our hearts.
