12.01.2022 Cleaning tip of the day! How to have a sparkling shower head: Pay Special Attention to Your Shower... Soap scum can be hidden away in your shower, and your shower head can be a place for many nasty germs and bacteria, including some that can cause illness. Prevent this by maintaining the cleanliness of your shower head by wiping condensation from surfaces after showering and leaving windows open regularly to help the moisture evaporate. For an effective deep shower head clean, start by filling up a bag with white vinegar and soak your shower nozzle into it. Tie this in place and soak overnight. Rinse off the vinegar in the next morning. Clean the shower curtains and linens in the washing machine with some old towels, which can act as a tool to scrub off mildew and soap scum. Make a paste out of distilled white vinegar and baking soda and apply to shower doors and leave to sit for an hour to remove stubborn scum and stains. Finish by scrubbing with a microfibre cloth. Grout can be removed with a grout brush (or old toothbrush) and bleach. Scrub discoloured areas and rinse well, ensuring the room is well ventilated. Ta da! Shower head is good as new!
