18.01.2022 I have just had a most interesting day. Earlier, I picked up the phone and knew instantly that this guy was going to be a problem. He ordered 4 bags of Poo and I bent over backwards to deliver them to him today (which means that I am now going to be outside bagging Mushroom Compost in the dark - until about 9pm in fact) So I delivered the Poo he didn't like the size of the bags. Didn't think there was enough in the bags...... But took them. Well I have just had a phone ...call from him....... He weighed the bags and they are not as I advertised them which is 25 to 28 kgs. Now I need to mention that we are in the middle of a Drought and I have been carting water for years now. Our water point from the farm is 77 k's away. Now you do the Maths 400 cows drinking 20 litres a day = 8,000 litres a day. I am trying to keep them out of our Dams as much as possible as other things live off that water so I cart water - a lot. And then there is the Compost itself. I can not tell you the number of trips I make for the Compost........ I can be at the water point at 1am, 3:30am or 5am or all 3. It's isolated, dark and has a creepy feel about it but I have to get water, so we go... So when I explained that once the Compost is where it needs to be for me to be happy to sell it, I can't spare water on it..... He said I was cheating and my Flyer is misleading....... I probably need to point out that his flyer has been on his fridge for over 3 years....... He told me that I was ripping people off. I work a 20 hour day at least 5 days a week. I haven't had a single day off in over 62 weeks. I am wearing a pair of boots that I am about to literally walk out of. I have no bad habits (smoke, drink, gamble) and all my energy goes into my daughter and the animals....... I work really hard to produce (what I think) is an amazing product which I am really proud of and then this happens........ Weird how one person's opinion can shatter your thinking. Well I'm off to bag up Mushroom Compost

16.01.2022 Clay is not your Enemy!!!!! Loads of people are suddenly complaining and at War with their part of the Planet because of Clay. I listen (sometimes, at length) to how they are pouring Gypsum into the soil because the Clay MUST be broken up...... Seriously? This is not the first time I have seen this. 16.01.2022 In this modern day we rush to the Hardware store and buy one of every product on the shelf thinking that all this modern day stuff must be good - isn't it? Think of it this way........ And I have had a Maths Professor work this out for me. If the world is an 80 year old person......After a number of years of turbulence (let's call that the Teenage years) Single cell organisms arrived about year 43, again lots of movement on the Earth, Plants arrived about Year 58, Modern Da...y plants arrived about Year 72....... Which is about 300 million years ago. Synthetic Fertisizers arrived 1/30,000 of a blink of an eye. Can you see why Plants struggle to know what to do with them. Not only do they confuse your plants, they are also not good for your soil. And gardening always come down to your soil......... This is a multi-million dollar industry and non of it is any good..... Please remember that when you walk in the door of the Hardware Store.

14.01.2022 How amazing is this......... Just shows parents are parents not matter furred, feathers or hairy. Imagine how panicked they must have been but neither of them was going to give up. Let's continue to create an environment for all things great (and great) this shows we need to save everyone.......

12.01.2022 On Tuesday Night the 11th February our 5 day old Alpaca was taken from our road paddock on Obi Obi Road Kidaman Creek near Kenilworth 4574. Our paddocks have do...g proof fencing and the paddocks we’re checked to make sure she hadn’t died of natural causes. Crias do not leave their mothers side especially at 5 days old. She was in the paddock Tuesday evening but was not there on Wednesday morning. Her chances of survival are very slim and her mother is fretting. To date she has not been returned but we would like to thank everyone for their concern, and the sharing of our original post. See more
