25.01.2022 We are big at teaching the "why" - this was too good not to share. It's the "little" things you do to help your horse that makes them happy and enjoy their time... with you. Pulling your saddle pad up into the pommel. It can can take a bit of practice with saddle shifting and pad pulling, but your horse will appreciate it. Without being pulled up, when the saddle is cinched the pad presses down on the withers potentially causing discomfort. With the pad pulled up into the pommel the withers have room to move and there isn't a pressure point. If you aren't already in the habit of doing this the next time you ride put your fingers between the pad and your horses withers while walking or trotting. It's our job to make sure that they can comfortably carry us. This simple shift can help to make that happen. Congratulations to Gillian & Anish, who recently had their saddle re-fitted with a lot of changes needed due to Anish growing and changing shape. Anish smashed it in both Novice and Elementary tests on the weekend, scoring at least 5% above her norm. She is so happy and much more free and through. ... Well done!

22.01.2022 I have some exciting news to announce! Saddle fitter Elizabeth Lewis and her Clydesdale Stallion Jeanal Summer Solstice are now both Kieffer Ambassadors! Sunny is an extremely difficult horse to fit due to his size, width, shortness of back, lack of withers and being such a huge moving horse. A normal flock or latex panelled saddle was just not an option for this boy. Sunny has been fitted with a Kieffer Brugge, a saddle specifically designed for Cold Blooded horses... ... Since changing to this saddle his movement has improved and he is so much more comfortable!
