24.01.2022 COVID 19 UPDATE We've been getting a lot of enquiries in relation to facepainting lately. In line with our past update, until the state returns to stage 5 re-opening our business will not be operating the facepainting side for the safety and wellbeing of the general community Recent updates from the government have pushed this back until Friday, 23 October 2020 and we will be keeping an eye on any new developments.... We apologise for the inconvenience and hope to be back to face painting as soon as is humanly possible in these circumstances. Frequently Asked question: If the beauty services can open, why cant you? Our service isn't "essential" like beauty services are. On top of that, the guidelines for beauty services still require certain changes in how the business operates to provide their services, changes which are quite difficult for us to maintain, such as social distancing. (have you ever seen how long our lines get?! keeping each kid 1.5 metres apart at events is nearly impossible!). We also don't have the ability or time to thoroughly wash and clean our equipment between each child on a job like a beauty service can, and, even though we take appropriate measures to reduce the chance of spreading disease, we cannot guarantee our brushes wont pass something on without buying a ridiculous amount of new equipment which is simply not cost effective. We understand how frustrating this is for everyone (including us!) and we appreciate the patience of all our regular clients.

21.01.2022 We''ve been getting a LOT of enquiries about if we're doing facepainting, now that stage 4 has been extended YET AGAIN. After discussions with the relevant authorities and the completion of a Covid safety plan, I'm happy to announce that YES, we are doing facepainting again! BUT - We will be slower as we maintain more rigorous cleaning standards and social distancing... As you can imagine, I have to catch up with some bookings and invoices, I'm only human and this has honestly created a lot of anxiety for me, causing me to be a bit slower on replies as we sat in limbo, I do apologise, I'll get back into work mode soon enough and re-open bookings online in the next day or so once I catch up! I appreciate your patience, our new guidelines are below!

17.01.2022 Have you used all the paint in those store bought activities? Don't throw out the pots! We can give them a second life for our paint packs until we can get new supplies in! Let us know and we can collect!

16.01.2022 Today, Candy Cane experienced some verbal vitriol in the process of doing her job. The reason? A child was coughing in her line and she alerted the parent to the fact that she would be unable to paint said child We'd like to remind everyone that we are still living in the middle of a pandemic and that we are required to take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of the community as a whole.... If you see us at a public event... you will most likely see the line below that outlines out policies on facepainting and sick kids. Please DO NOT abuse our staff for enforcing these policies. As a parent it is your responsibility to manage your child's expectations and explain to them why we cannot paint their faces. Don't line them up and make us the bad guys. Lining them up if they're sick puts everyone in the line at risk of illness. Its common decency. Your child is not more important than the one behind or on front of them, don't subject them to your child's illness if they are unwell.

09.01.2022 With the recent cancellations of the Boulder Markets and the community fair, due to the Coronavirus, we wanted to take a minute to remind everyone of our policies regarding facepainting and sick children Due to the recent scare we will be very firm on these policies and we will refuse service to any suspected sick children. Even though this reminder was brought to you through the recent scare, its important to note that these precautions apply to ANY possible virus (and nits too). We are in close proximity to your child's face and we touch many children's faces throughout a public event. We want to help keep the community happy and healthy! so if your kiddo is a little under the weather, help us by keeping them out of our lines!

08.01.2022 So one of my Tik Tok fans suggested I could turn anything into a "Thirst Trap" In true Super Sarah style, I put it out to them to come up with characters from kids shows or movies that you would not consider to be sexy in the slightest to see if I could effectively "ruin your childhood". First up we chose Mushu from Mulan... here he is as a muscular humanoid dragon... there were a LOT of laughs while trying to do this seriously.

07.01.2022 COVID 19 UPDATE Hi guys, as restrictions are loosening, I am getting enquiries about bookings again. And, as much as I'd love to take them, I do have to adhere to government guidelines for businesses as well as consider my own health and safety and that of my family. As an activity that requires me to be face to face with your little ones in a high risk time of the year, I won't be offering facepainting until the government has removed the 1.5 Meter social distancing recommendations. I apologize for any inconvenience but this is for everyone's safety

02.01.2022 Update on what's happening with our services with Covid 19 The state government is looking at removing all restrictions except our borders on August 15th. With that in mind, the 2m social distancing requirements will be removed so we should be ae to resume our facepainting services on that date. HOWEVER our facepainting guidelines will be much stricter. Kids will be subjected to a temperature test before they are painted and any kid looking unwell will be turned down, no arguments will be tolerated. We may also cancel jobs if we are feeling slightly unwell. As a close contact service safety of the community and our painters is our number 1 priority and we appreciate you understanding our need for these restrictions.
