25.01.2022 ROUND 4 2020 INDUSTRIE CLOTHING NSW SUPERSPORTS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP - PROVISIONAL POINTSCORE STEPHEN CHAMPION EXTENDS HIS POINTS LEAD OVER PETER WHITE!

25.01.2022 It was a hot, hard day at Sydney Motorsport Park for Round 3 of the Supersports NSW Championship today, but ultimately a fun one for our drivers. Peter White (#...28 Radical SR8) qualified third and was running with the leaders in Race 1 when a suspension failure pitched him off the circuit at Turn 8. Fortunately, the crew repaired the car for Race 2 and Peter duly rewarded them with a stunning charge from the rear of the field to third, setting the fastest lap along the way. He completed the weekend with another third place in Race 3. Steve Champion (#1 Radical SR3) qualified fifth before improving to third in Race 1. Steve held onto fourth for most of Race 2 before being passed late in the race by Mitch Neilson, but in Race 3 Steve was the one making the late moves, out-dragging Peter Clare down the main straight to secure another top five finish and extend his championship lead. Michael Donnellan (#23 Radical SR3) charged from 11th to fifth in Race 1, enjoying some good battles along the way. He completed a consistent weekend with 10th-place finishes in Races 2 and 3. Sue Hughes (#32 Radical SR3) improved from 12th to sixth in Race 1 but a temperature sensor failure forced her into retirement in Race 2. She nursed her car home to finish 12th in Race 3. One round to go at Wakefield Park in a few weeks, with Steve Champion aiming to make it back-to-back titles!

23.01.2022 QUALIFYING - ROUND 4 2020 NSW INDUSTRIE CLOTHING NSW SUPERSPORTS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP - WAKEFIELD PARK 12TH DECEMBER - NICK KELLY ON POLE! Nick Kelly white knuckled his Radical SR8 to an incredible 56 second lap of Wakefield Park in the Qualifying session this morning to take pole for Race 1 of Round 4 of the 2020 Industrie Clothing NSW Supersports State Championship. Nick was followed by Brad Shiels and then Peter White both with incredible times that would have assured pole a...ny other time. Championship leader, Stephen Champion, slotted himself ahead of Ryan Godfrey late in the session, with Brad Neilson and Peter Clare following up with lap times below the 60 second interval. Paul Palmer in his sleek Stohr, then Peter Clare, then Jason Kancevski, then Craig McLatchey and then Warwick Morris lapped Wakefield Park below the 1.02 period, Warwick taking his position late in the session to complete the top ten. Chris Barry in the legendary PRB S6 and Steve Roberts in his SR8RX were next, with Sue Hughes pushing Michael Donnellan aside on her last circulation of Wakefield Park after a slow start to the session. Race 1 is on soon. The live timing of all three races today can be viewed on Natsoft. See more

18.01.2022 TO ALL NSW SUPERSPORTS COMPETITORS - ENTRIES ARE OPEN FOR ROUND 4 OF THE 2020 INDUSTRIE CLOTHING NSW SUPERSPORTS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP AT WAKEFIELD PARK ON SATURDAY THE 12TH OF DECEMBER. THERE WILL BE QUALIFYING IN THE MORNING, AND THREE RACES THROUGHOUT THE DAY. THE OUTRIGHT WINNER OF THE FINAL RACE WILL TAKE HOME THE RICHARD CRAWSHAY TROPHY. PLEASE ENTER SOONER THAN LATER.

17.01.2022 QUALIFYING - ROUND 4 2020 INDUSTRIE CLOTHING NSW SUPERSPORTS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP - SYDNEY MOTORSPORT PARK Mr Industrie Clothing, Nick Kelly, catapulted his Radical SR8 to the top of the Qualifying time sheet just microseconds after Neale Muston, Peter White, racing sensation, Brad Shiels, and Mitch Neilson, each took turns in posting their fastest times at the top of the time sheet, all done on the third lap after all the competitors were released into the racing jungle, the t...rack surface and all the racing tyres slowly getting fried by the intense solar infra red. The first three drivers steered Radical SR8's, while Radical SR3's were the next two. With racing times just below and just above the 1.30 second mark, this group of NSW Supersports pilots were in Warp Factor 5 mode. However, even the "slowest" NSW Supersports competitor posted a sizzling time below 1.40 seconds, a time which would blow away a 700 horsepower sedan monster in the night race the evening prior. The next group, led by Championship leader Stephen Champion, and all - except one - in similar Radical SR3's, started at less than 2 seconds behind Mitch, their times in the 1.32 to 1.35 bracket representing sensationally fast cornering speeds around the winding Grand Prix circuit. Stephen was followed by Kosta Pohorukov, John Beck, Greg Kenny, Jason Kencevski, Paul Palmer, and Craig McLatchey, Paul being the interloper in resurrected sensational ex-Barlow Stohr. And with the incredible speed this group demonstrated, the next place drivers of Michael Donnellan and Sue Hughes,in their Radical SR3's, and Chris Barry in his PRB S6, were hardly slouching with times between 1.35 and 1.39. The one downside of Qualifying was to see Peter Clare enter the pit lane after completing only one lap and not posting a time. Hopefully Peter will be there to slice through the field in Race 1 of Round 3 of the 2020 Industrie Clothing NSW Supersports State Championship. All hands will be on deck at Sydney Motorsport Park for the racing, which starts in a short time, so please go to Natsoft and the live timing for this race meeting to catch up with the action live over three races this afternoon. 13.01.2022 RACE 2 - ROUND 4 2020 NSW INDUSTRIE CLOTHING NSW SUPERSPORTS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP - WAKEFIELD PARK 12TH DECEMBER - PETER WHITE PUSHES NICK KELLY OUT OF THE WAY TO WIN, STEPHEN CHAMPION SURVIVES! Nick Kelly again led the Supersports field away from pole in Race 2, but it was the lightning fast Peter White who brought Nick Kelly down to Earth to win Race 2 of Round 4 of the 2020 Industrie Clothing NSW Supersports State Championship at Wakefield Park early this afternoon. Ironical...ly, beating Nick Kelly would again normally be a worthy highlight of any typical NSW Superports race. However, this time it was Stephen Champion again stealing the highlight limelight with a race through the field to finish next after superstar racer Brad Shiel after 14 laps of Wakefield Park, even Brad's performance resulting in a margin only 1.6 seconds behind Nick normally worthy of a race highlight. Stephen fought for fourth place with Peter Clare and with Steven Roberts for much of the race, with Brad Neilson watching most of the wheel banging from not far behind, and with Jason Kanchevski next after passing a few cars through the 14 laps, as did Michael Donnellan and Sue Hughes. GWR had re-modified Ryan Godfrey's Radical sufficiently from its Race 1 injuries to get him racing again in Race 2 and finish the race, although not quite at the same average speed that Ryan had experienced in Qualifying. Chris Barry only completed a few laps, while Craig McLatchey and Warwick Morris had their own incident on Lap 1 that brought their race to an end early. And even more disappointingly, Paul Palmer and his Stohr again watched a race from pit lane. Hopefully Chris's PRB and Craig's Radical only require a small amount of mechanical sympathy to get them circulating again, although Paul Palmer's Stohr seems less likely to participate today . Stephen Champion may have his Championship target back in line with only one race left for this afternoon and for this year, this race being the ultimate in NSW Superports, the Richard Crawshay Trophy. Keep watching this space for the best Supersports racing and drivers. See more

08.01.2022 We're all set for Round 3 of the Supersports NSW Championship at Sydney Motorsport Park on Sunday, with four cars ready to fight for glory! The Champion of Cha...mpions (Stephen Champion) is well-placed to defend his 2019 title, coming into this weekend's round just two points away from the lead. Steve will face some stiff opposition from Peter White in his powerful Radical SR8, which is always a speedy weapon at the SMP circuit. Peter is currently third in the points, just five away from Steve, so he is well in contention for the title. Michael Donnellan has made an impressive start to his debut circuit racing season; his consistent performances in the opening two rounds have seen him working his way into fourth in the standings. Our attack on this weekend's round is completed by Sue Hughes, who slots into her distinctive green Radical SR3 and is thoroughly looking forward to being back in the driver's seat. Bring it on!

04.01.2022 RACE 3 - ROUND 4 2020 NSW INDUSTRIE CLOTHING NSW SUPERSPORTS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP - WAKEFIELD PARK 12TH DECEMBER - THE LAST RACE OF THE YEAR FOR THE RICHARD CRAWSHAY TROPHY - NICK KELLY WINS! DOES STEPHEN CHAMPION WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP? (AND IF NOT WHO DOES?) Although Peter White started the race from pole, it was Nick Kelly who crossed the line at the end of lap 1 in first place, and all the remaining Supersports then recovering their usual positions from Qualifying after the ...unsettling events in the two earlier races today. A yellow flag upset the rhythm of all the Supersports drivers on lap 4 after Jason Kenchevski departed the circuit, the yellow then staying out for another four laps, and all the Supersports drivers compressing their intervals in preparation for the restart, the order being Kelly, White, Shiels, Champion, Godfrey, Clare, Neilson, Roberts, McLatchey, Barry, Morris, Hughes, Donnellan, with Jason then (temporarily) retiring to the pits, and Paul Palmer having retired to the lounge before the race had commenced. Nick extended his lead progressively for the remainder of the race to win the Richard Crawshay Trophy for 2020, with Brad Shiels taking second place from Peter White after Peter slid wide on lap 12, and with Ryan Godfrey pushing Stephen Champion hard in the final few laps, all the remaining fellow competitors then holding station to prioritise a safe finish to a challenging year of racing. Nick Kelly may be the clear winner of the 2020 Richard Crawshay Trophy, and now the question is did Stephen Champion win the NSW Supersports State Championship? The NSW Supersports mathematicians will confirm the pointscore results ASAP. Thanks to Dean and Ruth and all the officials at Wakefield Park! Thanks also to Industrie Clothing, GWR, Volante Rosso, Radical Australia, Champion's Business Growth Advisors, and Motorcast, for supporting NSW Supersports throughout 2020 See more

02.01.2022 RACE 1 - ROUND 4 2020 NSW INDUSTRIE CLOTHING NSW SUPERSPORTS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP - WAKEFIELD PARK 12TH DECEMBER - NICK KELLY WINS FROM POLE, STEPHEN CHAMPION CRASHES! Nick Kelly led the Supersports field away from pole and then crossed the Start/Finish line every time for an almost endurance length of 16 laps around Wakefield Park to win Race 1 of Round 4 of the 2020 Industrie Clothing NSW Supersports State Championship. Normally this would be a great highlight of any typical... NSW Superports race. However, the highlight, or perhaps the lowlight, of Race 1 was the first lap incident which claimed championship leader Stephen Champion, Ryan Godfrey, and Paul Palmer, all of whom returned to the pits, with Godfrey and Palmer watching the remainder of the race from pit lane, while Stephen stayed belted in his Radical while the Garth Walden Racing engineers set to work to hopefully get him back on the track before the 16 laps were completed by Nick. While the work was frantically going on in pit lane, Peter White and Brad Shiel chased after Nick, Peter taking an advantage over Brad at the start, although the chase remained status quo for all 16 laps. Behind Peter and Brad, Peter Clare, Brad Neilson, Steve Roberts, and Craig McLatchey took their advantage over the unfortunate three and raced to the finish. Conversely, Warwick Morris, Chris Barry, Sue Hughes, Jason Kanchevski, and Michael Donnellan, were baulked by the lap 1 incident, and were forced to watch the Supersports ahead disappear further. With three laps to go, Stephen Champion reappeared on the circuit to regain a few points in his Championship defence, although what the lap 1 setback does for Stephen with his Championship defence remains to be seen over the final two races of the year which take place over the next few hours. Keep watching this space, and Natsoft live, to find out how much of Stepehen's fingernails remain. See more
