22.01.2022 How should fruits and vegetables be washed? Before handling or preparing food, make sure you wash your hands with warm soapy water for at least 20 seconds. Make sure your sink, surfaces, chopping boards and knives are all clean and sanitised prior to cleaning and preparing food. ... When preparing food, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and The Centres for Disease Control (CDC) recommends the following: Cut off any damaged parts. Remove the outer leaves of leafy products such as cabbage or cauliflower. Scrub firm products (like melons). If products have a wax (like apples), clean with apple cider vinegar. Dilute 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar per 1 cup of water, and soak fruit and vegetables in there for 5 mins. Rinse well under running water and dry. If you’re going to peel the product, wash it before starting, so that bacteria and dirt don’t get transferred. Wash the product under running water. Soap is not needed. Remember, don’t scared to eat fresh fruit and vegetables right now, as they are vital for a strong immune system. Just remember to clean them properly.

Cook time: 30-45 mins Total time:1 hour 45 mins Makes: 4-6 servings Ingredients Gnocchi: 6 (around 1kg) Sebago potatoes (washed, peeled and quartered) Salt and pepper to season 2 eggs 2.5 cups plain flour 1/3 cup finely grated parmesan 3 teaspoons Super Sprout Beetroot Powder Sauce: cup walnuts 100 grams butter 20 sage leaves 2 tablespoon fresh lemon juice Method: Fill a medium pot to full of salted water and bring to the boil over high heat. Place potatoes and boil until tender (make sure not to overcook them as this will increase the amount of flour you use and therefore, make them denser). Once cooked, remove all water and turn down heat to low. Dry off potatoes for 5-8 minutes (constantly moving them). This will help remove any excess water in them (and allow you to use less flour). Transfer to bowl and mash potatoes until smooth. Season with salt and pepper. Add in whisked egg and stir with a wooden spoon until combined. Add in parmesan cheese, beetroot powder and half of the flour and mix until combined. Add the remining flour, in 2 more batches until well combined and a firm dough forms (If it’s too soft, add more flour if required.). Turn onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth. Line a tray with baking paper and dust with flour. Cut the gnocchi dough into 10 pieces and roll each piece into a 1/2 -inch-thick rope. Cut the ropes into 1/2-inch pieces and transfer the gnocchi to the prepared baking paper. For the sage, walnut burnt butter sauce, heat the butter in a saucepan over high heat and cook until foaming and nut brown (around 2-3 minutes). Add sage and walnuts and cook for 30 seconds. Stir in lemon juice and then pour into a heatproof bowl to keep warm. Cook gnocchi in batches in a large saucepan of rapidly simmering salted water until they float to the surface. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain briefly. Serve topped with sage, walnut, burnt butter sauce and top with parmesan cheese. Enjoy!

Prep time: 5 mins Cook time: 40-45mins Total time: 45-50mins Ingredients: 3-4 ripe bananas 1 cup buckwheat flour 2 eggs 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil cup sunflower seeds 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds 1/2 cup walnuts (chopped) 1/4 cup Super Sprout Beetroot Powder Toppings 1/4 cup sunflower and pumpkin seeds Method: Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius Grease and line a loaf pan with grease proof paper In a bowl, mash all 3 bananas with a fork.
