25.01.2022 As the COVID-19 coronavirus continues to spread, its critical that everybody take precautions to keep themselves and others safe. 23.01.2022 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - re FLU Vaccination Influenza vaccinations The annual influenza (flu) vaccine for 2020 is now available. It is particularly important this year as the healthcare system faces the COVID-19 global pandemic and cases of flu can increase the burden on the health system. ... While the flu vaccine cannot protect against COVID-19, it is possible to become ill with both influenza and COVID-19, which has the potential to cause severe outcomes including hospitalisation. Everyone entering a residential aged care facility needs to be vaccinated. This applies to staff, visitors, health practitioners, volunteers and others. (e.g. cleaners, tradesman, gardeners and maintenance staff). All facilities are requesting proof of vaccination before you will be allowed on site. Please provide this to the allocations team in the first instance, and keep you record with you to show when you report for a shift or service. Please note: It must also contain the batch number.

21.01.2022 Our Support Staff Garden Maintenance team love to go the extra mile with our customers. We want our lovely customers to gain as much enjoyment from their outdoor areas as possible and work alongside them to achieve short and long term goals. To the delight of a gorgeous gentleman customer, Vanessa has recently helped him to restore and replant a very cute garden ornament. She now takes pride of place on his outdoor setting, fresh herbs readily available for picking. What name would you give this charming young lady (not Vanessa of course)?

20.01.2022 Got a niggling feeling that someone you know or care about isnt behaving as they normally would? Perhaps they seem out of sorts? More agitated or withdrawn? Or theyre just not themselves. Trust that gut instinct and act on it. By starting a conversation and commenting on the changes youve noticed, you could help that family member, friend or workmate open up. If they say they are not ok, you can follow our conversation steps to show them theyre supported and help them fin...d strategies to better manage the load. If they are ok, that person will know youre someone who cares enough to ask. Starting an R U OK? conversation? Use these four steps: 1. Ask R U OK? 2. Listen 3. Encourage action 4. Check in

06.01.2022 We are so proud of our workers who go the extra mile for Support Staff customers. Many of our elderly customers take the time to feedback to us how much they value their garden maintenance service. It brings them so much happiness. A couple of examples from today include: Mrs Lindner called to say she is "so very happy with her gardener Brenton", she went on to say that "they talk about the Garden, he has good Ideas and he is a lovely man and really nice to talk to also".... Mrs Pattenden wanted to pass on her thanks to her gardener, Dave, for the great work he does with her gardening. We don't just mow lawns and trim gardens, we work alongside our customers to help them continue living as independently as possible in their home and enjoying their outdoor areas.
