09.01.2022 Safety certificates / Roadworthy Certificates, In Queensland a roadworthy is needed when: A registered light vehicle is offered for sale in Queensland, or transferring registration to a new owner, or when transferring to Queensland registration from another state or territory, or... when re-registering an unregistered vehicle. Vehicles that require a roadworthy are: Cars Motorcycles Trailers (including caravans) with an aggregate trailer mass (ATM) between 750kg and 3,500kg any other vehicles up to 4,500kg gross vehicle mass (GVM). The roadworthy inspection covers the BASIC vehicle safety standards for many components including: Tyres Brakes Steering Suspension Body rust or damage Windscreen Lights. The Vehicle Inspection Guidelines explain how a safety certificate inspection is performed and the reasons a vehicle may fail an inspection. So guys and girls please note a safety certificate inspection IS NOT a comprehensive mechanical inspection on the quality, or life expectancy of a vehicle. If you are buying a used vehicle, you are best off getting us to do a pre purchase inspection to cover off more of the possible and future issues that may occur.

03.01.2022 Something we see more and more of on motorcycles and scooters especially with the increase in Uber Eats / Menu Log and so on is undersize brake rotors! Manufactures have a minimum thickness for a reason. When your brake rotor goes below that tolerance you run the risk of so many potential issues like - brake fade, brake fluid leaking, brake caliber piston seizing and well brakes just not working or complete brake failure!!! So yes it can be an expensive exercise while not earning that much money but is it really worth hurting yourself and others over or worst but still very possible even dying? Don't be that guy / girl. Look after your rides and they will look after you!
