22.01.2022 This was a challenging little job in the Lands Building in Macqaurie Street Hobart. Lots of pipes to cut in around. The boys pulled together and worked well as team to knock it over. 21.01.2022 This one we recently completed was for VEC for the North East Irrigation scheme. 1800 + 4 barb security fence with top and bottom rail.

20.01.2022 Another Taswater asset secured. This little one was for the Cressy pump station. The old farm fence was removed and we got rid of the ratty old trees. We even install 5 cubic metres of base B road base which tidied up the front parking area nicely. Safe to say its looking a lot fresher.

We certainly eased back into it, with no records broken, but good to catch up on some things that we didnt get to before break-up. - yard cleaned up and organised. - replaced sprocket rollers in our Posi Track. - installed a new floor in my old boat (thanks for the helping hand Jammo!) - fabricated an 8.0m cantilever gate and a make shift sand blasting booth. ... - cleared some scrub for approx 2 km of fencing to go in next week. Then we knocked up a custom gate to suit a finished fence height of 1050mm. We didnt have much luck with the old Cruiser. Flat battery one day and bogged the next. Lucky we had a beautiful outlook. 10.01.2022 With two new remand centres being built at Risdon Prison, there were a couple of fences that had to be pulled down for the installation of a new 5.0m high concrete perimeter wall. This little job was to reinstate the courtesy fence and contraband fence. Form work and concrete done by us. Average depth of concrete was 800mm. We love these challenging little jobs. 07.01.2022 I couldn't be prouder of the SLF team. They have all dug deep this past month to not only deliver on a huge move of our head quarters, to delivering a couple of key projects down South. 1. Securing a work site for Hansen Yuncken for major works at Hobart Airport. 2. Meeting a deadline for Fairbrother South supplying and installing a big set of double auto gates and security fence for the all new National Storage complex at Montrose.

06.01.2022 Setting up a gate and rising hinges before we sent it off for hot dip galvanizing. Ash knocking it out of the park as usual. Gate is raked and opens up hill, so plenty of angles to deal with. Sneaking in as many jobs as we can before taking a well earned break.

Big shout out to my dear old Mate John Rothal who has been supplying me this product for the past 26 years. John is in his 70s and still goes out bush and cuts his own timber.
