14.01.2022 Terrific to have today put the finishing touches to the Facade project for the Jetty Bar, Glenelg. Thanks to the Management and Staff at the hotel for awarding us this project and their support. Also to #LuluDesign for their colaboration on the paint scheme. And to #Dulux for their generous support and excellent products. Finally to my great team that put so much effort into this project.

12.01.2022 Feature staircase in Wattle Park residence for @summertonhomes Brief; to create a black and white feature centre piece for the renovation based on a Summerton concept. Walls and painted timber in 1/2 Natural White. Treads Black Japan topped with gloss Marine Spar. Wanted to achieve a faultless finish to painter timber; extensive sanding, filling and sealer with two coats Haymes full gloss enamel. With the treads I wanted to retain their character and some colour as a stra...ight black paint would have been too cold next to the walls, painted timber and floor. Also wanted to retain the charm of time. Therefore sanding though extensive retained some of the original red stain. Over this was applied two coats of Feast Watson Black Japan stain. Finished with two coats Feast Watson Marine Spar. At first glance the treads appear black but if you look closely you will see elements of bitumen and deep cherry red. The overall impact is quite dramatic and almost a dried blood colour. See more
