19.01.2022 The Victorian Government announced $3billion to support businesses. Here's the summary below, we can expect to see details of individual grant programs later this week on www.business.vic.gov.au. We'll keep you posted Business Survival Small and medium sized business ($822 million): The third round of the Business Support Fund will provide up to $20,000 for business with a payroll of up to $10 million:... Licensed Hospitality Business ($251 million): Grants of up to $30,000 for licensed pubs, clubs, hotels, bars, restaurants and reception centres, based on their venue capacity and location. Business Chambers and Trader Groups ($3 million): A competitive grants program to support metropolitan and regional business chambers and trader groups. Alpine businesses ($4.3 million): Grants of up to $20,000 to help alpine businesses pay a service charge to Alpine Resort Boards. Business Adaptation The package also provides additional funding, tools and resources to help businesses adapt and prepare for reopening under COVID normal settings. $20 million voucher program to assist sole traders and small businesses in building their digital capability $15.7 million package to help Victorian exporters get their products to market and establish new trade channels. $8.5 million expansion to the ‘Click for Vic’ campaign to encourage more Victorians to support local businesses. Waivers and deferrals The Government is also providing $1.8 billion in tax and cashflow support. $1.7 billion in payroll tax deferrals for the full 2020-21 financial year $41 million to bring forward the 50% stamp duty discount for commercial and industrial property for all of Regional Victoria. $33 million to defer the planned increase in the landfill levy for six months $30 million to waive 25% of the Congestion Levy this year, with the outstanding balance deferred. $27 million in liquor license fee waivers for 2021 $6 million to waive Vacant Residential Land Tax for vacancies in 2020.

15.01.2022 Daniel Andrews announced today that from 11:59pm tomorrow (Wed 16 September), regional communities will progress to the Third Step of our reopening roadmap. For businesses, this means: Hospitality businesses: ... Outdoors will be able to serve patrons outdoors, with a cap of 50 seated patrons per venue, and an updated ‘two square metre’ density limit in place. Indoors, venues can open with a cap of 10 seated customers per space with up to two spaces per venue and in line with the existing ‘four square metre’ density rule. Tables must be spaced at least 1.5m apart, cleaned after every customer and the details of all patrons must be kept. Other businesses: Beauty and personal care services will also be available with a face covering. Outdoor events like a play in the park or an open-air cinema can take place, in accordance with other restrictions. Regional real estate agents will be able to hold auctions outdoors with up to ten people. And travel can resume for regional Victorians holidaying anywhere in regional Victoria. All businesses across Victoria regional and in Melbourne will also be required to have a COVIDSafe Plan, enforceable from 28 September. Having reached a 14-day average of 3.6 and with no mystery cases, regional Victoria has reached the necessary trigger point in our roadmap meaning public health experts have advised that we can take this next step. 08.01.2022 Fresh Air Dining Program - temporary extensions to outdoor dining Council is inviting enquiries from local businesses who currently have alfresco dining permits to temporarily extend their outdoor dining capacity under the Fresh Air Dining Program. The program aims to support hospitality businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic that have been unable to trade for an extended period of time. Council will consider proposals from hospitality businesses for outdoor dining opti...ons in areas not normally available, including the footpath, in the carpark, and on private or public land just near where they trade.
