With 4 trees being removed & mulched, we managed to recycle about 6 meters of mulch straight back into a local garden. Not a bad days work. 08.01.2022 Well, where do I start?! What a massive year this has been for us here at Surfcoast Mow and Mulch. Almost a year ago to the day, I decided to "have a crack", get out of my comfort zone & start a small business. Everyday since then has been a new adventure. Not knowing what to expect, 1 thing was for sure, I had too much riding on this to just sit around & wait for it to happen. I had to make this work! So the hard work began, the blood, sweat & tears flowed freely as I put e...verything I had learned over my 25 odd years of working in retail. My philosophy is a simple one, work hard, be reliable, punctual, honest, treat people with respect & the rest should fall into place.....hopefully. & that it did. It started small, with only a handful of clients, but before I knew it, my phone was ringing off the hook for work to be booked. I couldn't believe how fast this took off, it was out of control! Then, some virus tried to shut us down, but here we are, still standing, still working, still pushing, still booking work. To say I have done this on my own would be a lie. I've been fortunate enough to have encountered some extremely generous people in my life. Without these people (you know who you are), I would not be where I am today & I cannot thank you enough & am eternally grateful. To all of the people that have helped out through the year by booking work, referring a friend for work, sharing a post on socials, handing out cards or fliers or just passing on my phone number, I thank you. Without you spreading the word, I would still be at ground zero, trying to get off the ground. To the people that have helped me keep up with the demand & carry the load, I thank you. I literally couldn't have done it without you. To my family, thank you for allowing me to go out on a limb & see if this could work. Your faith in me is next level & I love you all.
