18.01.2022 Netball Updates for Saturday 25th July & Tuesday 28th July. This weekend the SCSFNC are hosting our first ever home games, at Banyul-Warri Fields. Please remember players and coaches are not to arrive until 15 minutes before their game.... Please only attend the match if your a necessary family member, extended family are recommended to refrain from attending. Only umpires, coaches, players and people with a role at game time will have access to the courts. Please sanitise your hands upon entering and exiting the courts. If you or your child are unwell please advise your coach you will not be playing. If we all follow these simple rules hopefully we can continue to play, our kids need this and its so important to keep us all safe. The Torquay Farmers Market is operating close by and have coffee & delicious hot food available. Surf Coast Suns Netball Committee.

05.01.2022 The AFLs annual round recognising and celebrating indigenous players and culture is named in honour of Sir Doug Nicholls. Sir Doug, who epitomised the spirit of reconciliation, played 54 games for Fitzroy and was a brilliant all-round athlete. The first Aboriginal person to be knighted, he also served as Governor of South Australia and was devoted to the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Round 13 of the 2020 season kicks off on Friday, 21 August, whe...n Gold Coast Suns host Carlton at TIO Stadium. The marquee match of Sir Doug Nicholls round is the Dreamtime in Darwin between Essendon and Richmond on the Saturday night. All clubs during this round will be wearing an Indigenous design, but the big question remains... does any clubs design come close to the Surf Coast Suns?
