15.01.2022 Thank you- The City of Gold Coast. The membership of the Surfers Paradise Baseball club would like to thank and publicly acknowledge the City of Gold Coast for their tremendous support of providing funding to assist with the upgrading of the clubs batting cage facility. Without the support of the City of GC this project would not have been completed in 2020. The club was heavily impacted by COVID-19 with the cancellation of events and community sport in general during the su...mmer and winter baseball seasons of 2020. The funding enabled the club to complete the project in readiness for the summer season of 2020-21 and has assisted the members and the baseball community as whole to get back in the swing of things and play the game again. The SPBC batting cage facility is a critical training facility for all male and female baseball enthusiasts from as young as 8 years to the masters of over 60 years.
