23.01.2022 An update regarding Coronavirus

23.01.2022 Restrictions are easing, however it is too early for parkrun to start back.

23.01.2022 Couple of spaces available for the next couple of weeks. Plenty of space in April for helpers. Who wants to help out and get one stop closer to your purple volunteer shirt https://www.parkrun.com.au/surfersparadise/futureroster/

23.01.2022 Thanks everyone for a great first day back at parkrun. Congratulations to Dave for completing 250 runs and Liz for completing 300 and also to all others celebrating milestones today. Thank you to all our visitors - sorry we don't have the time to talk with everyone about where you have travelled from but be assured, we appreciate you choosing Surfers Paradise parkrun for your tourist run. Congratulations to everyone who achieved a PB today - there were quite a few of you d...espite the heat. Thank you to all our volunteers today - Jesse, Benoit, Jayden, Blake, Lisa, Sue, Mandy and Bridget - without whom we would not have been able to run. There is plenty of space in the coming weeks for helpers. See more

23.01.2022 One more sleep everyone. It will be so exciting to be back again after the extended break. Don't forget to use the QR code to check in prior to arrival if you can, although we will have plenty of QR codes onsite to utilise. See everyone bright eyed and bushy tailed tomorrow morning.

12.01.2022 Thanks volunteers

11.01.2022 Who's keen to #notparkrun?

11.01.2022 As time marches on, Australia is starting to return to parkrun. Hopefully soon it will be QLD turn.

11.01.2022 It's hump day! Thinking about parkrun already? It's great to see the volunteer roster filling up, thank you to those that have put their hands up to help out. We still really need a time keeper, so please let us know if you are able to help.

09.01.2022 A huge thank you to today’s volunteers because without you our event doesn’t happen. If you can add your name to the roster over the coming months please contact the team by commenting below or messaging the page, we welcome you all to give it a try. Here is where you can find the vacancies available over the coming weeks:... https://www.parkrun.com.au/surfersparadise/futureroster/ See more

09.01.2022 Are you still looking for something to do New Years Eve? There’s still a few entries left for the Resolution run. There’s distances for everyone from 500m out to 12km and then plenty of food and activities after your run. Enter the promo code parkrun for your 10% discount

08.01.2022 Volunteering is vital to ensure parkrun can operate. New post COVID plans require more volunteers than before. Let’s hope we have no trouble filling those spots.

08.01.2022 Has everyone heard of (not)parkrun Register your freedom runs until we can run together again. (not)parkrun is LIVE NOW ... Walk, jog or run a 5k route of your choice, on any day, and submit your time online Log your times via your parkrun profile https://www.parkrun.com/signin/

08.01.2022 Who is looking to earn themselves a fancy purple volunteer shirt - for FREE ( excludes postage) Help out 25 times at parkrun and this amazing gift can be yours. Plenty of space in the coming weeks to put your hand up. None of the jobs are hard and full training and support is provided.

08.01.2022 It’s been 5 weeks of no parkrun. What have you been doing at 7am Saturday morning?

08.01.2022 Fresh bibs ready for use.

07.01.2022 We all need to be COVID safe when we return. Here are the rules and COVID-19 Framework for all parkrun events. These rules are subject to change. https://volunteer.parkrun.com//open-with-covid-19-manageme

07.01.2022 We will wait and wait some more till we are allowed to run together again. Latest update says nothing till the end of June at least.

06.01.2022 How exciting for parkrun in the NT!

05.01.2022 The framework is done, we are slowly getting closer to parkrun returning.

05.01.2022 Who has been playing along?

04.01.2022 Age group podium! Congratulations Fox, you're a champ! Great to see you and your family at parkrun.

04.01.2022 FYI - please share with any parkrunners who are not on Facebook or receive the email, thank you.

03.01.2022 Morning everyone, we know it's another weekend without parkrun... ...but we WILL be back! We're in this together. #loveparkrun

03.01.2022 For anyone sitting on the fence about coming to parkrun, please be assured walkers are more than welcome too. Here is a great plan to follow.

03.01.2022 Thought we would do a little reminder, the little finish tokens handed out as you pass the finish line, are not yours to keep. They are not souvenirs! They need to be handed to the barcode scanner when you get your athlete barcode scanned. This allows the timer results match with the scanners results and you receive an email with your position and time. Both token number one and two have gone walkabout the past two weeks. If anyone knows who has them, please let us know so we can get them back to use every week. Thanks Surfers Paradise parkrun event team.

03.01.2022 Our roster is empty! You can help our event proceed by volunteering, please contact the team or comment below on your availability.

02.01.2022 Way back before HOTA was as beautiful as it is today.

02.01.2022 Part of the new COVID rules require everyone to check in prior to attending parkrun. We will have a QR code available when people arrive or if you want to, use this one and check in before you arrive.

02.01.2022 Welcome first timers and visitors to Surfers Paradise parkrun, thank you for choosing our parkrun. Thank you to our regulars who support our event week in and week out. This weeks wonderful volunteers were Trilby BARSLEY, Jett CLARK, Shar GUDGER, Davina HARVEY, Linda ROBERTUS, David SEAR, Connor SUTTON, Rian SUTTON, Gary WEST, without you our event doesn’t happen so THANK YOU!! Results have been processed and photos posted so please tag, like and share. Don’t forget to add you name to the volunteer roster and see you all next Saturday 7am to do it all again.

02.01.2022 Tomorrow Surfers Paradise parkrun is cancelled due to an event at HOTA.
