15.01.2022 Many thanks Di for your hard work hosting on behalf of the Surfers Paradise View Club for the Melbourne Cup event. Delicious treats were enjoyed and what would Melbourne Cup be without a bubbly & orange juice. The lovely lady in purple won the Melbourne Cup outfit. As you can see, all the ladies dressed in the spirit of the day and wore their special outfits. Well done, to all participants.
13.01.2022 Yesterday, the Surfers Paradise View Club presented it’s monthly luncheon, special thanks to the Southport Golf Club, providing a really delicious meal which was enjoyed by all. Surfers Paradise View Club had a guest speaker, Mr Nigel Fotheringham, a pilot who flies for Angel Flight, what a beautiful community activity. Nigel explained he, like others offers his plane and flies patients/sick folk who live in regional areas to major hospitals/medical centres. There are approximately 4000 volunteer ground staff who offer their vehicles and time to transport the patients to the relative medical centres/hospitals. Sincere thanks Nigel, it was a very informative presentation.
10.01.2022 This Tuesday. Ladies from the Surfers Paradise View Club will be celebrating Melbourne Cup. Many thanks to Di Bailey for hosting the event. As always there are raffles and fun activities incorporating funds being raised for the Smith Family Foundation. We look forward to hearing who won raffles and special hat awards.....good luck ladies, enjoy your day.
09.01.2022 The View Clubs Zone Christmas Party was held at the Southport Shark’s Club with representation from all Gold Coast View Clubs attending. The event was well attended (93 ladies) providing opportunities for the ladies from various clubs to interact.
02.01.2022 Yesterday, the Surfers Paradise View Club held its last function for the year at the Southport Golf Club, the theme Christmas!! The event commenced with a delicious punch and Christmas cake, preceding a scrumptious lunch. The occasion was enhanced by the very talented John Vella who sang wonderful Christmas Carols throughout the luncheon. Secret Santa gifts were distributed to all who attended. I would like to sincerely thank the committee for their efforts to ensure we have successful occasions like yesterday. Merry Christmas to all.
