24.01.2022 Yallingup Boy car stickers It’s the holiday session and the term Localism has raised its head again! To fully understand the significance of the Yallingup Boy car stickers you must first watch this video clip doing the rounds on Facebook.... The Raglan Surf Report - Heavy Localism This video will teach you how to gain the respect that you’re entitled to as a local https://www.facebook.com/JackLinksNZ/videos/1089239354846074 A number of elderly surfers in the Yallingup region were negative about getting the words Yallingup Boy tattooed on certain parts of their anatomy, or in one case, even getting the postcode 6282 to fit, it was thought a less painful way of identifying a local was to have a Yallingup Boy car sticker made Using a Bruce King panorama of Yallingup Beach as the background, these car stickers entitle the holders to priority, respect and courtesy in the water and car park. Only a limited number have been manufactured and following Covid-19 health advice, will be issued to the elderly and infirmed first. The car stickers were officially launched yesterday with sticker number 1. granted to veteran surfer Ian ‘Prive’ Morris. Mick Marlin, Steve (6282) Carr and Lou Corkill also qualify. The rest will have to apply by way of comment to the blog. It will be an exclusive group with membership by invite only. If you consider yourself entitled to one and have not been issued a car sticker, please register your interest as a comment to this post setting out the grounds on which you think you are eligible.
