25.01.2022 Hi - pop over to find out more about the Boomerang Bag movement in Crescent Head :)
24.01.2022 Its truly unbelievable big cosmetic brands continue using microbeads. Leave these products on the shelf to stop billions of these tiny plastics from polluting our oceans. #leaveitontheshelf
22.01.2022 The story behind this shocking photograph. #OurBluePlanet (Via BBC Earth)

Sad that there was so much so close to our magic coastline but. Thanks so much to those who volunteered their time for something much bigger than us - you guys rock!

09.01.2022 The ORRCA marine mammal rescue training is being held at Crescent this Saturday. Would be great to see a few of you there!
06.01.2022 Arriving to check the surf at Sunsets prompted an impromptu clean up, well done guys! While we cleaned up the general rubbish, all the soiled toilet paper (and there was alot of it!) was left for another time. Did you know that toilet paper can take up to 6 months to degrade and that not all brands will decompose outside of commercial waste facilities? Please, dont make van life a trashed life. When visiting our amazing beaches, leave nothing but footprints and #take3forthesea #protectwhatyoulove

02.01.2022 We collected (well) over 300kg today!
02.01.2022 Some days you are out shopping and a product attracts your attention for all the wrong reasons We are not fans of glitter, so seeing this hair product in a majo...r supermarket was frustrating to say the least Most glitter is made from plastic and harmful to the environment - it is a microplastic that can and is being consumed by marine animals This is not brand new knowledge. There are numerous articles regarding the impact of glitter, articles on why many schools and day care centres are banning it, and why scientists are calling out the damage that it is doing This chemical cocktail hair product is just one of many items that has glitter. This product says it is cruelty free on the package. To marine life, that is untrue. The ingredient polyethylene is plastic We need to think about what we purchase, as if there is demand the product will keep being produced http://www.smh.com.au//ban-the-glitter-scientists-calling- #SeaShepherdMarineDebrisCampaign #SeaShepherdAustralia #StemtheTide #ChoosetoRefuse #PlasticPollutes #goodbyeglitter
01.01.2022 Hey legends! Really excited for another beach clean on Sunday - looking like being another cracker in Crescent. Well be set up in front of the surf club under the surfrider tent from 9am. We have a few locations around that need some attention, but if you know somewhere else thats great too. Weve got a few buckets/bags/gloves and pincher picker-upper things but if you can bring your own that would be fantastic too. Well be bringing the rubbish back to sort at the tent too so we can get back to council with the kinds of things we are finding and disposing of correctly. Any questions - as always - just let admin know. Look forward to seeing you then, pls share with anyone you think might be able to help out too
01.01.2022 Beach clean tomorrow - meeting in front of the surf club (well be under the Surfrider tent) around 9am. We have a few bags and gloves available :)
