22.01.2022 A little bit of history courtesy of John Ellingsen - Noosa crew Dec 1977. John rowing bow and swept by Spaz Hurst in the Lion Beer Annual Marathon Wellington NZ.... Distance 24.1 km in Wellington Harbour howling 40knt winds. Noosa won this event in 2 hours 26 min and the shipping line Colombus Line bought them new boat the following season. Other crew members were Phil Adams stroke, Tim Bell second stroke and Peter McWhirter second bow. See more

19.01.2022 Boat Shed Locks are Off - Qld Surf boat training can resume from the commencement of stage 3 of Qld government easing of COVID restrictions on Friday 10th July. All crews training must ensure their club has an approved Return to play COVID safe plan signed off by SLSQ. Sweeps should also ensure they are up to date with - - new risk assessment requirements... - training log - any additional covid safe requirements specific to their club. Sweeps should also ensure they and their crew members sign the Member agreement Return to play form. Hopefully there will be no further restrictions and in boat training can finally continue from here on. See more
