23.01.2022 Dear Surfside Netball Association members Bellarine Community Health has secured funding for a Health and Wellbeing Hub accommodating headspace Youth services and a range of other services across all ages in Ocean Grove. This is a great outcome for health and community services on the Bellarine. BCH currently operates from a shared space which limits our service delivery and a new facility will enable us to meet the future health needs of the community.... We are interested in hearing from you, our community, about the sort of services and support you would like us to consider as part of the project. We are particularly interested to hear from families that support children (0 12) and adolescents (12-25) and from young people themselves, due to the growing number of residents in the area. Your input will assist us to develop the scope of the design and enable the architects to put together concept plans. It will also assist us to determine the size of the land required to accommodate the types of services the community need now and into the future. Please complete the survey, which will only take about 5 minutes, by going to: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/OGHWHUB2 The survey closes on Monday 19th October and the survey results will be published on the BCH website by mid November at https://www.bch.org.au/projects/oceangrove Further information will be available shortly so keep an eye out on the BCH website or follow us on Facebook for more updates on the progression of the project. We greatly appreciate and value your input. Regards Caroline Jordan BCH Community Engagement & Development Manager

16.01.2022 Along with you, we have watched today’s announcement regarding Victoria’s Roadmap for Reopening. Whilst there is no clear announcement regarding the return of ...community netball in regional or metropolitan areas we will pay close attention to the trigger points for easing restrictions and continue to consult with Sport and Recreation Victoria. We do have something to strive for. Let’s keep doing the right thing, and together work towards the return of community netball. For now, stay safe and please, reach out, check-in and stay connected to your team mates. Victoria, we’ve got this.

13.01.2022 With restrictions slowly easing and allowing the return of contact and non contact sports, this doesn’t mean we can return to Netball as yet. As Surfside Netball Association uses the courts at the Bellarine Sports and Aquatic Center we have to follow their guidelines as well as Netball Victoria’s and the government. Thank you all for being so understanding during these times.

05.01.2022 Regretfully we have made the decision that we will not be running our senior competition and Net Set Go this year. We have still not got access to the courts from the City of Greater Geelong and we feel that by the time seniors are allowed to play competitive netball again this year there will be not enough time to run a competition. This is very disappointing but in the best interest of everyone’s health and safety we feel it is the right decision.... We look forward to seeing you all in 2021 Thank You all for your continued support Surfside Netball Committee

01.01.2022 Hello All We are still trying to organise a Junior competition for 2020, we are waiting to hear back from the City of Greater Geelong. We are following all advice and guidelines. We are looking at running a fast 5 competition for juniors or just a normal short season. ... There will be some major changes to our structure. - no spectators/ guardians or parents. Each team will only be allowed their players plus the coach and a scorer. We are not allowed any extra people. - New entry and exit and a change in times to allow people to exit before the next group. - Players need to come ready to play and have their own drink bottles. - We can only allow people/players in to the centre that are from the Bellarine and Geelong. We will be asking for ID. (This is the Centre’s rules and we need to follow them) - We need teams to confirm if they will be returning so that we can organise things accordingly. We need enough teams in each section to be able to run a competition. Please let us know if you would prefer a Fast 5 competition or a normal competition
