25.01.2022 Good Morning. During the evening there has been a directive that makes us unable to consult our patients face to face. Therefore our rooms will be closed from today through to close of business Tuesday. We understand this situation is not ideal however we have the best interests of our patients, our staff and the greater community in mind. Be safe and we will be here next week.

25.01.2022 Thought I would take this opportunity to shine the spotlight on one of our physiotherapists and introduce them to our facebook family. This week its Brett Edwa...rds. Brett is one of our Practice owners and has been a pivotal part of our practice since its inception some 17 years ago. Brett is a keen golfer, sportsman and has been involved with many sporting clubs during his career. Therefore he has a keen interest and vast experience in dealing with sporting injuries. He uses a combination of therapies to assist with recovery including hands on treatment, exercise programs even hydrotherapy if required. Brett also has experience with workcover injuries, injuries resulting from motor vehicle accidents, neck, back, muscluoskeletal problems, just to name a few. Brett offers dry needling also. Brett is an early bird. His sessions start at 7.30am on a Wednesday and Friday morning and he also offers a session every third Saturday commencing at 7.45am. Brett is a great option if you need to fit an appointment around your work schedule. You could possibly fit in a treatment on your way to work.

22.01.2022 Do you take Lyrica? Or know someone who does? Read on... Patients with long standing strong pain were previously often prescribed codeine and opiates. Now, due to closer scrutiny, and more awareness of the risks of these stronger medications, prescribing practices have changed, with Lyrica becoming more popular amongst many GPs. This article highlights some of the dangers that Lyrica use poses. The good news is, that in many cases such as arthritic pain, fibromyalgia, non specific back pain etc, one of the best evidence based treatments is a well constructed exercise program. Our physios are experts in rehabilitative exercise - very effective treatment with much lower risks. https://www.abc.net.au//lyrica-pbs-drug-linked-to/11921882
