06.01.2022 Ann-Maria was absolutely thrilled today when she received this amazing copy of the Parliament Community Recognition Statement from the office of Jodie Harrison MP the Member for Charlestown. The statement was read in the Legislative Assembly of NSW in early November. A Community Recognition Statement is an opportunity for an MP to give a short speech praising the work of an individual or group in the local community.... It's in recognition of the SRUs Monthly Network Breakfast Meeting. Our meetings bring together professionals from various support services in the Newcastle-Lake Macquarie area to discuss new community services and projects. We also discuss funding options and how each service can help each other and in turn help the community with food relief, DV education and counseling, children's safety, housing options, and assisting the homeless or anyone in need. Thank you so much to Jodie for the acknowledgment in Parliament and the never-ending support of Ann Maria and Survivors R Us Incorp. A big thank you also to Jodie's assistant Reilly Carroll and the hard-working team at Jodie's office. Your support is greatly appreciated
