07.01.2022 Lets talk Family photos: I restored a digital copy of a family photo of my paternal grandmother this weekend. I remember this photo having pride of place on her mantlepiece and it always fascinated me in many ways. The stories I could imagine and was told always drew me into it. Victor, Gertrude, Norman, Violet, Josie (my great grandmother) , Claude, Earl (my photographer great grandfather), Winnie and the littlest, my grandmother Dorothy. Amongst the boys are WW1 and 2 surv...ivors and victims, Winnie died young of TB and Gertrude became a nurse and later, a nun. And of course my strong-willed Nanny who lived to 96 climbing up ladders to trim her garden right until the end. There are so many stories to be told from this image. We cant underestimate the power and the legacy of a photograph. Do you have a similar photo telling your family history?
