22.01.2022 A loving, warm, relaxed atmosphere in a picturesque hilltop setting overlooking the Indian Ocean. A loving couple in Olga and Steve supported by their friends. A truly special horseback arrival. This really was one out of the box and it was a thrill to officiate as celebrant. With their families in the US and Germany unable to attend the English/German ceremony was recorded on video - the internet connection is not reliable on Clontarf Hill. A party at home afterwards with friends helping with all the related tasks. A recipe for success from all points of view! and very Freo :) Photos are by Derek Martin. Video and more photos to come
18.01.2022 I can’t post photos of R&J’s beautiful marriage ceremony a few months ago at Brookleigh Estate, Upper Swan, without mentioning the current bushfire emergency which is not far from that picturesque venue. Our thoughts are very much with all those impacted and with the firies who are such dedicated wonderful people. I had numerous weddings with animals involved last year - horses, dogs and an alpaca. The horses in their stables at this ceremony brought a playful element to this ceremony which was rich in rituals. Enjoy the lovely photos by Lauren of Light the Love Weddings.
16.01.2022 One of my winter marriage ceremonies during the post-Covid lockdown time was a lovely intimate family ceremony held at picturesque Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club. It doesn't have to be an extravagant grand affair to declare your love and tie the knot with your nearest and dearest around you. Beautiful photos taken by the small ceremony specialist Anthea K of the Love Story Photography.
14.01.2022 An intimate marriage ceremony conducted in English and Spanish was the choice of Laura and Anderson. Laura's parents from Colombia were in Perth when the Covid pandemic shut down took place so the date was chosen to enable them to be present for their daughter's marriage. Held at Aqua Viva on the Swan in Nedlands on a beautiful late winter's day, the ceremony included a couple of rituals one of them being a moving Colombian tradition where the parents of the bride and groom speak to the couple privately at the start of the ceremony to pass on their wishes and advice. I find it a privilege to be introduced to new rituals like this one. The photos are by NB Photography
11.01.2022 Wow, when @benjaminwheeler sent in a submission earlier this week, I wasn't aware he was due to photograph the wedding of HRH Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo M...apelli Mozzi I feel I ought to be congratulating the photographer as well as the couple! The Royal Princess surprised everyone by marrying in an intimate private ceremony, attended by close family members, at the Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge in Windsor on Friday 17th July. Thrilled to hear Princess Bea wore a vintage dress by Norman Hartnell, on loan from The Queen and remodelled and fitted by Angela Kelly and Stewart Parvin. She also wore the Queen Mary Diamond Fringe Tiara which was worn by her Majesty on her own wedding cay back in 1947. @ Royal Chapel of All Saints See more
09.01.2022 Here are some heartwarming photos of Rosario and Will’s marriage ceremony pre-Covid. Fortunately Rosario’s parents from Peru and other overseas family and friends were able to be there for the ceremony which I conducted in English and Spanish. Rosario chose to have an alpaca as ring bearer and thankfully it worked out really well thanks to young family members being the minders and having a little training beforehand. Another star of the show was Will and Rosario’s young son. A gorgeous family with whom I so enjoyed working. Photos by Deanna Whyte Photography.
07.01.2022 Photographer Jolyn Shephard has captured the fun, happiness and love between Skye and Alberto at their pre-Covid shutdown wedding at Core Cider House. This was one of several Spanish/English ceremonies I conducted earlier this year. Have a look at the procession of Alberto's arrival with his parents and groomsmen, the delightful little ring bearer, the tying the knot ritual, the beautiful arbor hand made by Alberto and the laughter and joy on our faces :)
06.01.2022 Lucia and Sean chose to have a lovely, uncomplicated, intimate marriage ceremony at their home. Lucia's family and friends in Argentina watched via live stream and so the ceremony was in English and Spanish. Note Lucia smiling at the ipad during the ceremony and also their furry ring bearer. The feeling of the day has been well captured by Daniel from The Wedding Stories.
