24.01.2022 In Sweden, whenever the bride leaves the table at the reception, all the ladies are free to steal a kiss from the groom. Likewise, and keeping the tradition gender-neutral, whenever the groom leaves the room, all surrounding gentleman are free to plant a peck on the bride, too. Sounds like a lot of fun! #nojealousy #kissing #fairsfair #swedish #tradition
18.01.2022 My couple chose Milano's in Brighton to celebrate their intimate nuptials late this afternoon. Thanks Natasha and Adam for choosing me to marry you. Much love xo
17.01.2022 Writing and/or reading a eulogy to commemorate the life of a loved one is a very special experience. It's about collecting stories from family and friends and sharing them in your own words. A eulogy should be a mixture of reflection and storytelling crafted from the people who knew your loved one the best. It should include some facts, woven with stories and anecdotes that represent who they were, and how they lived their life. Susan Celebrant is experienced and can help you write a beautiful eulogy for your loved one, supporting you and helping you pay homage in your own words. She can even read it with you because understandably it's a difficult time, and eulogies can be hard to deliver. Speaking from the heart, remember it's ok to cry and express emotion.
16.01.2022 Your home is an extension of your spirit and body. Blessing your house is an ancient tradition that invites positive energy into your home which inspires love, health, happiness, prosperity and harmony. Some people choose to do a house blessing when they move to a new address. Other people may do a house blessing when a new partner moves in, or a new baby is born. House blessings are one way to promote fresh energy into your space. Let's talk, I've got lots of ideas xo #blessthishouse #positiveenergy #cleanse #welcome #harmony
10.01.2022 Susan Celebrant has always been a huge supporter of marriage equality and is proudly pro marriage equality. Same-sex marriage in Australia has been legal since 9 December 2017. Love is love regardless of who you are. If you're ready to make it official, and you'd like Susan Celebrant to craft your ceremony, I'd think it a privilege to celebrate with you. #celebratelove #loveislove #mrandmr #mrsandmrs
04.01.2022 A big wedding may not be your cup of tea, or even a small wedding for that matter. Perhaps you're the more spontaneous type or you're trying to save money for a new adventure - but you still want to get hitched. You might have threatened your friends and family with elopement, but have you really considered eloping as an option? From one who took the plunged and eloped - here's my checklist: 1) Prepare yourself for your family and friends reactions. Not everyone will support... your decision, and you might fear some people will be disappointed they were not part of your big bay. They'll get over it, remember it's your day, your way! 2) Don't forget to take care of all the legals. Susan Celebrant can take the reins for you here. Completely the appropriate legal formalities is crucial if you want a legal wedding, not just a commitment ceremony. 3) Consider hiring a local photographer or videographer. I completely forgot this detail and ended up using my Celebrant's husband to take a video and some happy snaps. Needless to say there is only a handful of shots of our wedding - fortunately they are great shots! 4) Don't forget to think about the time of the ceremony and the rest of day. Make the whole day about you as a couple. Think about your location. What would make a great memory or story for you to pass down for years to come? 5) Plan a reception, even if it's a romantic meal for 2. Remember the wine you drink - make it your wine. Remember the cellar scene in Parent Trap. Keep the empty bottle and put some fairy lights, or flowers in it, as a wedding keepsake. 6) Let people know you are married especially if they know you're engaged. They may be waiting for a save-the-date or a wedding invitation. Showcase some of your favourite wedding photos. Who doesn't love a shot of their loved ones on the most loved up day of their lives? 7) Don't downplay your elopement. The day is still special. It's exciting and should be celebrated. Don't forget you can still include any traditional wedding aspects you choose, and why shouldn't you indulge yourself? #elopement #yourdayyourway #small #intimiate #legalsonly #justthe2ofus See more
