14.01.2022 Well my New Year effort to show a random act of kindess or perform a selfless act each day this year has proven to be way easier than you would think! It is amazing how when you become concious of kindness and look for opportunities to be more selfless, they just present themselves. What I have noticed in my interactions with people is that at every moment of every day, and in every situation that presents before us we have the choice to be easy or difficult. I choose easy, not just because it is better for the other person, but also because it is better for my emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing in the long run too!

11.01.2022 Happy New Year to everyone out there! I decided this year that my new year's resolution should be about gain and not sacrifice. Most people focus their resolutions on things they think they should or need to do, and say things like they will drink less, stop smoking, lose weight etc. I have decided, this year I will have more not less. So more reading, more relaxing and more good deeds. I have a little pocket diary I began yesterday to record 365 days of how much I read, med...itate, engage in enjoyable activities and feel grateful for the blessings in my life. It is also 365 days of good deeds or selfless acts. So yesterday I began by donating $50 to the Fred Hollows foundation, (hopefully two more people will keep their sight) taking in my daughters washing for her, thanking the garden for the beautiful sunflowers it has produced, meditating for 30 minutes and reading a great novel for 1 hour. It's a good start. Join me if you like...you can catchup for yesterday! See more

11.01.2022 Its been a fabulous weekend. I have been enjoying the rewards life offers while practicing good deeds and selfless acts. I gave my house to someone to use while I was away. They really needed a break. I have given up my place in line at the checkout to someone in a hurry and minded a place in line for a lovely woman who needed to dash off to her children and not lose her place in the que. I have made a special effort to listen and not speak to those who need to get things ...off their chest. Only offered advice when asked for it and paid for someones dinner because I knew they were doing it a bit tough! All this and a great weekend at the beach, with a helicopter flight over the twelve appostles! You can still have fun while being considerate and concious of those around you. My 365 days of good deeds and selfless acts are off to flying start. See more
