21.01.2022 There's light at the end of the tunnel Melbourne. We've done sooo well to get to this stage. Let's all hang in there a little longer so we can have a proper summer break. #hanginthere

20.01.2022 As a Maidstone local, I have witnessed too many accidents and near fatalities while people are crossing the Hampstead Road. If elected, I’ll fight for a pedestrian crossing at the intersection so we can safely cross Hampstead Road.

18.01.2022 Look what I came across while letterboxing(can't believe I hadn't seen this one before) ... Art x colour x Footscray = lurrrve!

17.01.2022 Whoop whoop got my ballot in the mail today, I was beginning to worry they'd forgotten all about me, like they do at school when you're last on the roll call.... Here's how to find and VOTE [1] for me on the ballot paper (and my voting preferences). Ps. Make sure you post back the ballot by 22nd October. ... #happyvoting#

13.01.2022 Starting a program of direct investment into local business. Putting an end to Council privatisation of local services. Prioritising local businesses first for council contracts and major projects. ... Supporting residents into employment opportunities by mandating local procurement.

12.01.2022 *Budget post*alert* So last night the budget was announced. And is it just me or did anyone else expect a little bit more from it?? I don't normally follow it to the absolute minutiae but given the year we've had you could say I had a vested interest. ... To be honest I was expecting a little more support for families - in particular with childcare. Given that the Childcare sector was practically excluded from JobKeeper, I really thought they'd have been more investment in this space so am a little disappointed. I remember when my partner lost his job during the 1st lockdown in March, and he was looking for work but Centrelink would only fund 8hrs p/w of childcare so he could look for a job, the rest we had to pay out of our pockets or basically keep Winnie at home whilst he tried to look for work at the same time! Let's just say it wasn't easy for us, so I can't imagine how other families who've been heavily impacted fared. In any case, I'm now determined more than ever to fight for more affordable childcare and kinder places for local families because lets face it, the government shouldn't expect to collect our taxes without putting in the hard yards i.e. ensuring we have adequate support structures in place so we can actually make a living! That's my 2 cents, but check out the attached article for a full breakdown of winners and losers from this budget. https://www.abc.net.au//coronavirus-federal-budg/12684802

10.01.2022 Keeping rates down and council spending under control. Ensuring proper community consultation before major projects. Providing transparency on how council decisions are made. ... Making sure residents can voice their opinions through multiple channels - not just online. Responding to residents' views and needs quickly.

10.01.2022 If you're registered with the Victorian Electoral Commission or Australian Electoral Commission, it is absolutely COMPULSORY to vote in the upcoming Council elections. See video below about how to do postal voting. https://www.youtube.com/watch

09.01.2022 Stopping unsuitable development. Creating more open and green spaces. Fixing our roads and infrastructure. ... Making sure council’s rubbish and recycling program is best for residents and our environment.

09.01.2022 *Beware* of the *Dummies* Happy Ballot week! Ballot papers are hitting letter boxes as we speak. If you haven't already, be sure to read up on candidates in your area - as some could be "Dummies" Check out this article to help you workout who's genuine and who isn't. https://www.abc.net.au//victorian-council-electi/12719056

07.01.2022 As you may have noticed, my candidate statement is missing from the ballot due to an error. While this is deeply upsetting, it won't stop me from getting my message and vision for Maribyrnong out there online and on the phones. You can give what would have been my candidate statement a read here

06.01.2022 And that's a wrap! After 3 months of campaigning, I'm thrilled to say we've made it to the end. I couldn't have made it this far without the support of my family, friends, ALP family and offcourse my Maribyrnong community. Mini-me is sooo over the moon she gets to have my attention 100% again. To celebrate we're having night "movie night". Thanks everyone for the love and support again and keep me in your thoughts, hopefully for a historical moment

05.01.2022 After spending the morning doing letter drops we decided to stop at this awesome place for some morning tea and dare I say, someone was very excited about their ice cream...
