25.01.2022 There is nothing unskilled about what disability and aged care workers do - does everyone you know know how to navigate Centrelink, apply for the NDIS, fix their Foxtel, reconcile their bank accounts, read their blood test or xray results? And that was one day last week. https://www.msn.com//australia-has-sleepwalke/ar-BB19eCv7
25.01.2022 I've had a fantastic week meeting the community and business owners in Southport talking about local issues. A highlight, was meeting the Minister for Transport and Main Roads, the Hon. Mark Bailey MP at the Spit, to talk about the government's pledge to assist with dredging of the Broadwater. Check out this video for a great business opportunity for a local company and please tag anyone you know who would be suitable. This is just another example of how Premier Palaszczuk's government is keeping Queensland moving! #qldjobs #susiesouthport
24.01.2022 Senator Watt calling it how it is (in Parliament a few weeks back)
24.01.2022 Today, the World Health Organisation (WHO) reported a record one-day increase of 307,930 in global COVID-19 cases - but in Queensland, we recorded 0 new cases. ...Not a single one of today's global cases came from our state. Queensland this is something you should be so proud of Together, we are doing a great job at keeping case numbers low and each other safe . We only need to look overseas to see what another reality might be. There are things we have had to sacrifice, and it hasn't been easy. But together, we are making a big difference. Thank you, Queensland.
24.01.2022 BREAKING: Restrictions on gatherings will ease on the Gold Coast and Darling Downs from 8am tomorrow. Gatherings of up to 30 people will be allowed in peoples ...homes and outdoors. Visitors will be permitted at hospitals, but may be required by the hospital to wear PPE. Aged care facilities can accept visitors when they are ready to do so. #covid19
23.01.2022 I have long said that issues don't get fixed by politicians or police with a hose - they get fixed with understanding, patience and guidance including from people who have been there and actually understand,
22.01.2022 I back Queenslanders. And I will always put their health and jobs first.
21.01.2022 The LNP have no plan except to attack the ALP....the real issue is that LNP has no plan for recovery, ours is underway (look at all that money going around in Queensland in keeping both codes of football alive for us all to watch for example) with grants, investment in infrastructure and job creation.
20.01.2022 BREAKING: Queenslands border zone will expand from 1am on Thursday, October 1 to include Byron, Ballina, Lismore, Richmond Valley and Glen Innes council areas. Border residents can apply for a border pass and travel around Queensland for any purpose, and Queenslanders can travel to those places as well. Its an important step in supporting border communities and ensuring Queenslands economy rebounds not the virus.... Our strong borders have kept Queenslanders safe and allowed us to keep our economy going, businesses open and people working. Thanks to Queenslands strong health response and falling numbers of the virus, we can now take a gradual approach to easing these restrictions. #qldjobs #covid19au
20.01.2022 Our Premier won the debate against her opposition before the LNP announced their budget which includes massive job cuts and borrowing. A vote for Susie Gallagher is a vote for a stable government under the strong leadership of Premier Palaszczuk and more jobs. #susiesouthport #southport #queenslandelections
20.01.2022 Our government is already working hard for every Queenslander as our brightest days are ahead. We have created jobs with more big plans for manufacturing, small business, the health sector and infrastructure. The LNP has covid plans to slash and cut jobs. #qldjobs
19.01.2022 BREAKING: 25% of all PPE bought by the Queensland Government will be made in Queensland, and we're setting up a new PPE testing facility at Meadowbrook. We're m...obilising local manufacturing companies like Aspen Medical to deliver personal protective equipment for our frontline workers. The Brisbane-based manufacturing company will ramp up production from two million masks a month to four million masks a month thanks to support from the Palaszczuk Government. Our investment in local manufacturing secures Queensland's supply of PPE and creates more local jobs as part of our plan for economic recovery. #covid19
19.01.2022 Todays national unemployment figures showed the biggest falls in Qld, WA and the NT - all jurisdictions with hard border closures. While theres no doubt that ...Jobkeeper is hiding some unemployment, these figures show the second wave has shedded a lot of jobs in Victoria while Queenslands strong health response is the best strategy for both peoples health as well as jobs and economic recovery. 19.01.2022 With just one day to go, I wanted to let you know that the polling booths are not too busy today, so perhaps head on down to Southport to cast your vote early. A vote for me is a vote for Premier Palaszczuk to keep our state moving and safe. #southport #susiesouthport
18.01.2022 Who do you know willing to put the pressure on decision makers to make things better?

16.01.2022 Something that won't make the front page because it doesn't suit the narrative of the Federal Government and their number one cheerleader: https://www.abc.net.au//nsw-family-granted-wish-t/12659310
16.01.2022 Queenslanders have done a remarkable job responding to our recent outbreaks south of Brisbane and in Ipswich. Thank you. We all listened to the health advice, g...ot tested in large numbers, stayed home when sick and practiced social distancing. Thats meant weve been able to limit the spread of this COVID cluster and restrictions are easing tomorrow morning. Queensland is one of the safest places in the world right now because of our strong health response and that puts us in the best position to deliver Queenslands economic recovery plan. Our strong borders have kept Queenslanders safe and allowed us to keep our economy going, businesses open and people working. Thats also why we have been able to extend our border zone with NSW from 1 October to further support people and businesses in our border communities. Lets keep working together. Thanks Queensland.
16.01.2022 Churches and other places of worship are places where communities gather, and where Queenslanders gather in faith. From 4pm this Tuesday 17 November, restrictio...ns on the number of people who can gather in places of worship will ease to one person per two square metres both indoors and outdoors, so more people can observe their faith together and serve their communities. #covid19
16.01.2022 BREAKING: We're building a Second M1 for the Gold Coast. It means less traffic on the M1, getting you home to your family faster. And it will create over 700 local jobs while we get the job done.... This massive project is just one part of our $3.6 billion investment on the Gold coast over the next four years all part of our plan for Queensland's economic recovery. #qldjobs #TeamQLD
15.01.2022 This Sunday, September 20th, from 12.30pm to 3pm I will be at the Gold Coast Botanical Gardens in Benowa to meet and greet you all. I'd love to see you there and keep talking to you about issues that matter as it's time for a change in Southport. #susiesouthport #qldjobs
15.01.2022 As your elected MP, I will work hard for all constituents just as my family did as Southport residents and business owners for over 50 years. The Gallagher family is responsible for creating and managing many iconic business and sporting groups including The Cecil Hotel, The Benowa and Helensvale Taverns, The Pacific Hotel, The Gold Coast Giants and The Gold Coast Tourist Shuttle. It is very important to me to leave the same lasting legacy as my family has done. I love Southport as much as you do! #susiesouthport #southport #qldjobs

15.01.2022 My team and I are in the off dog leash park now talking to locals so we hope you can stop by and say hi to me. #susiesouthport
14.01.2022 Slips overseas for a holiday in the middle of a raging bushfire crisis then on the back of that ignores the Queensland Premier's request for support to stave off a public health crisis.
13.01.2022 What's the difference between Labor and the Liberals? This.
13.01.2022 You have listen to this story from one of our frontline health workers. So sad but true under a LNP Government. The choice is yours today. #southport #susiesouthport
13.01.2022 Queensland Election 2020
13.01.2022 Consultation is underway for the second M1.
12.01.2022 Heron Island is open for business. Alliance Airlines have increased the frequency of their flights. The rebuilding of the economy in Queensland is well underway.
12.01.2022 Even their own party members know this is NOT acceptable. STOP shafting the most vulnerable people in our society...have you learned nothing from the recent pandemic and your failure to protect the elderly on a grand scale? :( https://www.theguardian.com//coalition-plan-on-ndis-assess
10.01.2022 Do you think a complete stranger should have the power to decide how you, your child or the person you care for is supported and cared for? Do you think that the thousands of dollars you spent on allied health professionals for reports and the countless trips to the GP plus the hundreds of hours on the phone and in those therapy sessions to get access to the NDIS should be enough? Do you think, this level of control should be handed over to an unelected, unaccountable, for-p...rofit organisation. (That is exactly how a senior liberal politician referred to this jobs-for-the-good-ole-boys plan.) Do you really trust the Federal Liberal Government are good fiscal managers? Or do they just talk a good game? Ask those still waiting for help for the bushfires they suffered though.....and it is bushfire season again! Do you think they really have your best interests at heart? Because they didn't show that concern for our elderly when they privatized aged care, reduced ratios of care and left them without adequate supplies to cope in a pandemic like the one we had recently. Do you think that is the last time our vulnerable people will be shafted? Do you think that is the last pandemic we will see? Come on down and have a chat with some people who believe the government is screwing with NDIS to the disadvantage of some of the most vulnerable citizens in our community.
10.01.2022 On Election Day let's take a moment to thank our passionate, hard-working Labor volunteers all across Queensland. We would be nothing without their contribution... to getting Queensland back on track to economic recovery. So thank you for being on #TeamQLD! Let's bring this home today, everyone! #QldVotes #QldJobs
10.01.2022 The question for Deb Frecklington is this - if she were Premier, who would she be listening to? This week we have seen a concerted campaign from the State and F...ederal LNP to open our borders while every other State and Territory continues to have border restrictions in place. She seems to be saying that she wouldnt be listening to the Chief Health Officer and that she would be making all these decisions about borders and exemptions herself. Does this mean she would open the borders even if the health advice was that is was unsafe to do so? You cant just listen to the expert health advice when it suits you. Queenslanders deserve an answer.
09.01.2022 Couldn't say it any better.
09.01.2022 POSTAL VOTING Would you like a postal vote? If you are unable to attend a polling booth on the 31st October, you can apply for a postal vote here:... https://www.qldpostalvote.com.au/ Youve got until 16 October to fill in the form and your ballot will arrive in the mail after nominations are closed (mid-October). Help keep us safe, our unemployment rate falling and our economy moving. If you have any difficulties, please let us know and will do our best to assist you. #qldvotes
08.01.2022 I've promised Premier Palaszczuk that I will be the hardest working MP Southport has seen for a long time. She knows I have the leadership skills together with compassion and care for the local community to really make a difference. A vote for me today is a vote to change Southport for the better. It's what we all want right? #southport #susiesouthport
08.01.2022 This is all you need to compare what I will do for Southport compared to the LNP's track record. Vote 1 Susie Gallagher today! #southport
08.01.2022 Wow..,just wow....
07.01.2022 If you need a postal vote for this election, you can apply for one here: https://www.qldpostalvote.com.au/ If you have any difficulties, please let us know and will do our best to assist you. #qldvotes
07.01.2022 Today is the final day to cast your vote in Queensland - and polls have officially opened. It’s the last chance we have to re-elect a Palaszczuk Labor Governmen...t. It’s the last chance we have to stop Deb Frecklington and the LNP from cutting the guts out of Queensland. If you haven’t voted, don’t forget there’s never been a more important election in this state.
06.01.2022 The Deputy Premier on the Gold Coast today......he mentioned during this (previously) live broadcast that leader of the Opposition wants to strip the position of the Chief Medical Officer of the responsibility to monitor our borders and give them to ?? (perhaps herself / a politician instead) - how does that sit with you?
05.01.2022 My team and I will be at the Gold Coast Botanical Gardens tomorrow from 12.30-3pm. We will be on the big grassed section having a COVID-safe picnic so feel free to pop down and even bring your pets. I'd love to meet you all! #susiesouthport #southport #qldjobs
05.01.2022 The whole press conference from yesterday at The Spit.
05.01.2022 Queensland trains should be made in Queensland. Only Labor will back our manufacturing sector.
04.01.2022 Hi Everyone My personal page was just tagged in a post and when I let my friend now about it, she replied that she had received the same post from me. It is a link to a site about an accident or something and looks rather official however you will need to log in to access the post purportedly to prove you are over 18....... and BAM you just gave away your log in details!... I do not know if this profile has been linked to it so I just want to warn everyone as it looks like news or something a concerned citizen (like one running for office) would share. It is in your timeline review and I have other friends saying they have received it as well - with me tagging them and they are not friends with the person who supposedly tagged me originally. (Photograph in the comments section.) PLEASE do not be fooled. This is a SCAM.
03.01.2022 Devastating. Heartbreaking. Unnecessary. Disgusting. Heartless. This is the stuff my nightmares are made of........ https://www.abc.net.au//disability-royal-commissi/12698248
03.01.2022 New public health alert from our Health Minister for Benowa residents. Please share. #susiesouthport
03.01.2022 While were busy upgrading the current M1, were planning the second M1! We know how important road projects are for our recovery, the infrastructure it deliver...s and how important it is to keep people in jobs long term, secure jobs. Today we announced $755 million to build the second M1 linking Nerang and Coomera supporting more than 700 jobs, putting Queensland on the road to recovery and helping local motorists and families get home safer and quicker. Road infrastructure projects are underway all over our state each one is vital to Queenslands plan for economic recovery. #qldjobs #qldtraffic
02.01.2022 Debate update!! The Premier v someone else.......
02.01.2022 The ALP and Premier Palaszczuk were prepared right at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and had a solid plan to keep all Queenslanders safe and the economy moving. Vote for the LNP and we would be in the same state as Victoria is right now and we will probably end up being in lockdown over Christmas once they open the borders. Do not be fooled by their hollow promises and their willingness to open the borders already 64 times! #qldjobs #susiesouthport
01.01.2022 Or it could be that small businesses and start ups, like mine, lost eligibility due to making more money than the year before because you had no staff at all! There would be many directors now in a position that sees them UNPAID while they keep their businesses going and staff employed while HOPING they will grow to be able to pay themselves. https://www.msn.com//coronavirus-the-number-o/vi-BB1bt8Nr
01.01.2022 Let's hope you and yours are not on the cut, sack and sell list!
