19.04.2022 Can builders still work on your home modification project during COVID-19? A lot of homeowners face months of difficulty as COVID-19 impacts on their home modification projects. Here’s what to do if you’re affected. It has been said that only construction workers doing jobs which are really important to the nation and to the life of the economy should keep working during the COVID-19 crisis. The people that are involved in carrying out construction projects which involve 'int...imate contact in someone’s home', including home modification on a house where the occupants are still living should be avoided. Even though the instructions for construction projects are not clear enough when you talk about homeowners, builders, and architects. What should you do this if you’re in the middle of a major renovation project such as a home modification project? The first question you need to ask yourself is that is if your construction project is essential. It has been advised that work done in people's homes, for example, construction workers carrying out repairs and maintenance, can continue, provided that the person involved is healthy and has no symptoms of coronavirus. Of course, in this situation, social distancing guidelines should be provided for everyone’s safety. #sustainablebuilders #Corona #coronavirus #pandemic #COVID #constructionworkers #constructions #covid19 #homemodifications #sbuilders Contact us: +61 413 202 634 [email protected] https://www.sbuilders.com.au/
21.01.2022 Sustainable Builders is committed to providing our members with valuable resources and updates during these challenging times. There have been concerns for the safety and health of the construction workers during the corona virus pandemic. There have been some cases on sites, so there are questions to why they haven’t been stopped and told to practice self-quarantine. Prime Minister Scott Morrison mentioned that he believed construction would remain as an essential service w...hen questioned if there was a phase it could be considered non-essential. I don't believe so, no it is essential, Morrison said. Morrison said that social distancing could be practiced on construction sites, whether they’re residential or commercial. This keeps the economy going. It keeps people in work... [The] premiers and I have discussed this, this is an important part of the economy, Morrison said on The Fox 101.9 interview. There will have to be some changes on sites, no doubt... Just like mining, and resources and manufacturing, and all of these important jobs. We’ve got to keep the economy running. #sustainablebuilders #Corona #coronavirus #pandemic #COVID #constructionworkers #constructions #covid19 Contact us: +61 413 202 634 [email protected] https://www.sbuilders.com.au/

09.01.2022 The COVID-19 measures can postpone the construction projects by months or even years, contractors said, predicting a manpower crunch when they eventually try to clear the backlog. Contractors mentioned they will speed up the work quite efficiently after the pandemic is over by deploying more workers to work on the job sites. Although they also mentioned that this will prove difficult, with limited manpower and little chance of adding workers from abroad due to COVID-19 restri...ctions. Even then, the contractors mentioned that projects may not immediately resume as manufacturers of construction materials will need time to restart processes. Any resumption of work will also depend on the condition of workers, they added. Thousands of workers all over the globe a number of whom work in the construction industry have contracted the corona virus, making up a large majority of the cases in recent days.
