Nature’s systems provide a wealth of tangible and intangible services to business- some $33 trillion worth of free deliverables a year, say experts in the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment Synthesis Report. Those services include fertile soil, fresh water, breathable air, pollination, species habitat, soil formation, pest control, a liveable climate, and a host of other things we tend to take for granted. 16.01.2022 I have met some amazing people at SJOG over the years. In September this year I returned for my monthly maintenance. After I checked-in to reception, I was escorted to the ward. When I reached the ward, I heard: Hey Cedric, how are you? I returned the greeting whilst failing to recognise the face of the lady. Later that evening after dinner I was sitting at a table with a few other clients of SJOG, when I realised who the lady was: Kathleen who previously worked as an eye surgeon at Sydney Eye Hospital. A lovely lady who is very humble and very good company
