20.01.2022 SHOUT OUT: Chelsea McLean #SSN Circular Economy Education Coordinator Chelsea McLean recently featured in BIN SHIFT's e-newsletter after a recent visit to Bin Shift's display in the Adelaide Central Market. "To celebrate Sustainable September, the Adelaide Central Market ran a number of interactive events, including a pop-up stall for BIN SHIFT and Plastic Free SA. This iconic and much-loved marketplace was the perfect location with the perfect audience to spread the word a...bout the mission and work of BIN SHIFT and Plastic Free SA. It was a great day and we loved connecting with the market goers, answering all of their questions and at the end, supporting the other stalls as we treated ourselves to a delicious lunch. Thanks to the amazing and inspiring Chelsea McLean (pictured) from BioBag for helping at our pop-up stall. Chelsea seriously has that gorgeous smile on her face all day and we loved her energy and help." 20.01.2022 Sustainability can be as easy as feeding your food scraps to a group of hungry worms! Encouraging the community to get involved with sustainability by giving them the tools and call to action is the perfect way for people to engage in sustainability practices which is exactly what Townsville City Council does with their 'Sustainability Sunday.' The Townsville City Council are also the major event sponsor for our upcoming Connecting Regional QLD: Sustainable Schools Summit and we are privileged to have them on board to continue the conversation of sustainability in the region.

15.01.2022 The Cairns Regional Council is one of our major event sponsors for our upcoming Connecting Regional QLD: Sustainable Schools Summit next month but they are also active in a lot of other ways when it comes to sustainability and enhancing the local environment. There is something wonderful and refreshing about being able to compare the 'Before' and 'After' and actually see progress that positively impacts the environment and those that live in the area - flora, fauna and people alike - and this example of the Munro Martin Parklands does just that. We can't wait to go for a stroll through the park lands ourselves next time we're up there and thank you again to the Cairns Regional Council for your support with our Summit and being so proactive in the local community.
