25.01.2022 I just love what Kate has created with these cards . These cards will be apart of our "Seedlings for Schools Fundraising initiative" school resources pack . Schools joining the Seedlings for schools Program in 2018 will now get an incentive package with resources supporting healthy food choices. I am also putting together prize packages for the students as well .

25.01.2022 I've been doing some networking lately & aside from promoting Australian children's food education resources I have researching the difference in "seed to feed"... education throughout early learning , primary & highschool education centres. One major difference I have noted is in the early learning sector there is a great deal of concern about eating the grown produce. I am curious if this comes from A) Privately owned centres not willing to take the risk (insurance) B)Food safety plans/programs (Council) C)Food licencing (Council) D)Government rules & regulations related to early learning From my research this appears to only be an issue with centres, not directly groups of that age of children such as playgroups and such. If you work in the early learning sector at a centre , kindy , playgroup or any other under 5 play/education group we would love to hear from you to add to our research.

17.01.2022 Im launching the new business page , website not done yet & still a whole bunch of other stuff to do But !!!! so you know where we are heading & can follow a long this is where im going with things. Though people contact me through Sustainable Seedlings for a variety of things seedlings , cooking , education etc I just want to have it all make sense under 1 thing . Childrens food education was always the focus now its just a bit clearer what on earth Im actually doing. Have resisted the change for way to long I admit I really like the name Sustainable Seedlings and the logo & have enjoyed everything I have done under that name . However its not a bad thing but simply growth.

I can’t express how grateful I am to the teachers and kids for letting themselves g...et loose and have heaps of fun. It was a proper mosh-pit of earthworms, pirates, gardeners and sea creatures. 10.01.2022 Its a very humbling feeling to have your name &/or business turn up in conversation & be asked for your advice , input , help or to collaborate. EVERY activity I have been involved with from the school , Hampton festival , Paddock to Potager etc has started from somehow people hearing of me and seeking out conversation. Not me hunting for opportunity but people approaching me . Its this real organic growth & it just happens all by itself. So thanks to everyone that has started those conversations you never know where a conversation will take you .

10.01.2022 I lost me mate last weekend and its been really sad. What has given me comfort in my sadness has been creating his special resting place , patchs patch a memorial garden just for him. So far we have the path in , furniture painted and in its spot & seeds germinating . Its a weird feeling creating a garden from a place of loss & sadness instead of from a place of hope & joy. The first difference I noticed was my choice of seeds. I went straight for flower seeds not vegetables... though im not a big fan of flowers. As I sowed those seeds I thought about my mate & also why did I pick flowers for his area. Flowers up in till this point I had only thought useful for their smell , prettiness & bees but in that moment I realised they are so much more . They are a symbol of remembrance , they can be use to say congratulations or condolences , they can offer comfort and peace and much more . Honestly I cant say a vegetable can do all that . See more

07.01.2022 Check out my new idea for garden bed edging. Marigold brick edges.Using the marigolds in the edging saves me space not having to put them in the vegetable garden, uses up bricks I have lying around & stops spiders living inside the bricks. Also means I have somewhere to put all the marigold seedlings that are self-seeding everywhere in my gardens. #TheEdge #Wastenotwantnot

These half day workshops are limited to 16 children per day and parents can leave school aged children unattended. 03.01.2022 So its been a year since Ive done any business, community or career activities & what a year it has been. In that time we have had a new addition to our family with a little baby girl which has kept me rather busy. Over the time off it has given me time to ponder the future direction & execution of my business . The goals & missions remain the same however the business will be re-branded to reflect the growth & changes over the years. I have already finished the new logo very happy with my design skills on that one & am working on the website as well as all the other bits & bobs so hopefully ill get all that up & running soon.
