24.01.2022 We had an absolute ball in our first socially-distanced Sutherland Trio rehearsal today! 20.01.2022 Happy Mother’s Day! Although Caroline, Liz and I miss performing together and have all been isolating separately, I am very much looking forward to performing a solo cello recital of Bach and Britten this Thursday night at 7pm at the Melbourne Digital Concert Hall! Tickets are only $24, and half of all the proceeds from this concert will be going to help other musicians in need through the charity Support Act. Times have been incredibly tough for the arts industry in gener...al and every single ticket purchase makes a huge difference in the lives of all musicians and artists out of work or stood down during this pandemic. 19.01.2022 We are so proud to announce that in 2019 our wonderful Molly will be on contract working as a senior lecturer (part time) with the incredible faculty and students up at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music! She is really looking forward to getting to know the amazing Queenslanders, their music culture and weather!

15.01.2022 Caroline and Elizabeth were honoured to perform the Sutherland Violin Sonata last week at the Redmond Barry Lecture devised and orated by Jillian Graham. Articulate, erudite and humorous, Graham's research is timely and important as Australia seeks to highlight women in music. It provides a telling insight into the life of a female composer born in 1897 who struggled for recognition in Australia during and after her lifetime. Sutherland had a unique compositional voice and advocated strongly and effectively for the cultural life we enjoy today.
