25.01.2022 Dear Riders We are in the process of processing refunds for a large number of events and due to the sheer number of transactions involved this will take some ti...me to complete so we ask for your patience in these extraordinary times. Nominate provides a service to event organisers in the collection and management of entries for equestrian events. This service reduces the workload of event organisers, reduces event costs as they dont have to bank cheques and deal with paper entries anymore, and makes the process easier for riders. Nominate is a small business and we charge a fee for the service that we provide. This is set out in our terms of service document which is on the Nominate website. In the past, Nominate has been extremely flexible in terms of processing refunds where events have been cancelled. We have generally waived our fees in the case of event cancellations, even though this costs us real money in terms of processing these transactions. We are currently facing a complete loss of income for an unknown period of time and in these circumstances we do not believe it is unreasonable for us to be charging for the services that we have already provided to clubs by collecting their event entry fees. Some clubs have stated that they will pay our fee in the same manner as if their events had gone ahead, and some clubs have asked us to deduct our fee from the refunds that we provide to riders. Unfortunately, a small number of clubs are of the opinion that we should not be charging at all for the services we have already provided them and the service that we are continuing to provide by processing refunds on their behalf. Our aim is to keep our staff employed for as long as possible in these difficult times, as we know that the current situation of event cancellations will not last forever. The team at Nominate.

13.01.2022 IMPORTANT COVID-19 UPDATE - Sunday 22nd March PLEASE READ CAREFULLY WE are going ahead at this stage.... S.S.H.O.A would like to confirm that we have been in contact with EA regarding our position with running our March 2020 competition in light of the recent Coronavirus outbreak. EAs recommendation is we Can run the event as we anticipate there will be no more than 200 people on the grounds at any one time. EA are following the advice of the Chief Medical Officer however this advice may change as the pandemic progresses. Any competitor who wishes to withdraw their entry from the event due to their concerns regarding the Coronavirus may do so and receive a refund. Minus administration fees Additionally we ask competitors to withdraw their entries in the following circumstances. A refund will also be made to those competitors: If you have returned from overseas within the two weeks of the event You have symptoms of Coronavirus You have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for Coronavirus. Notification of your intention to withdraw MUST BE MADE BY MIDNIGHT WEDNESDAY 18th. WITHDRAWALS MUST BE DONE VIA NOMINATE!!!! For those competitors who intend to complete, we request that you adhere to the following guidelines: To minimise the number of people on the grounds at any one time, could competitors please: Limit the numbers of strappers, family members and friends that come to the grounds. After riding your test/s, please leave the grounds as soon as practicable. All test papers will be available as quickly as possible but please do not crowd the pick up area. Limit your contact with people on the ground The committee will be taking additional hygiene precautions in relation to surfaces that may be touched by competitors. We will be cleaning the toilets throughout the day and many surfaces will be sprayed with disinfectant. If you are pencilling you will be asked to wash your hands or use hand sanitiser before entering a judges car. Please wash your hands regularly. Please maintain social distancing Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth Practice respiratory hygiene. If you have a fever or cough please leave the grounds and seek medical attention. You may be asked to complete a health declaration. Could all competitors please keep in mind that the Coronavirus pandemic may spread quickly. The situation is changing daily and the Committee will do their best to keep informed of the situation and pass on vital information regarding the running of the event. At this point in time we will be running the event however we cannot guarantee that the event may not be cancelled if the situation escalates further. 03.01.2022 Unfortunately we have made the decision to cancel our Official Dressage Comp on 20th Sept due to new guidelines regarding Covid-19 received from EA effective from 17/8/20. A copy is attached. Refunds will be processed through Nominate however due to the large number of cancelled events this may take some time.
