22.01.2022 The last round would have The Avengers face off against a familiar foe and a win would almost guarantee a league title Baldivis would roll out the welcome committee and host our boys for the last league match of the year It has been a tough year for our top 4 cup final opponents from 2 years ago and a 3rd consecutive top 4 cup appearance would elude them this year as they have struggled for numbers and although playing with great pride have Labored through the season with ...at times only 8 or 9 players to finish a more than respectable mid table of 12 despite their unfortunate numbers The Avengers would start the match in fine form and would pepper the Baldivis goal from the outset with Mozzy opening the scoring in the 5th minute and Captain Brock the Rock adding a second then third in quick succession and the rest was of the match was much of the same with Mozzy adding a second Sam chipped in with 2 Brock finished with 4 and the Gun Dom Sylvestri bagged a hatrick after what was mostly one way traffic , the highlight of the day came from long serving Baldivis player Bailey scoring in her last appearance for the club as she moves on to play womans football after many years of great football for Baldivis The Avengers would run out 12-1 winners on the day and securing enough goal difference to secure their third consecutive league title and finish the day 15s South Divi 1 champions Best on ground for the day and becoming the first opposition player to take out the Pinjarra Bakery Best on Ground the Red and black legend Bailey On ward to top 4 cup and an opportunity for a little more glory as the Avengers chase a 4th straight top 4 cup starting with Queens Park in the first semi final in 2 weeks See more

18.01.2022 Top 4 Cup Final Day and The Avengers would face off against a resurgent Rockingham at our favorite finals venue Beale Park Cockburn , where we won our first top 4 Cup Final in Under 12s The Avengers would get off to the perfect start 3 minutes in with Dom feeding a ball through the backline for Ahren to touch and hit , and from 35m buried a classic goal to get the big dance under way Rockingham would take up the challenge 5 minutes later when their center back would hit a ...cracker from just inside half way and Chip Aldi in goals to lock it up The Avengers would continue to dominate possession and Captain Brock the Rock would latch onto a long ball and finish with poise to have The Avengers back in front 5 minutes later the boys failed to learn the lessons of the first goal conceded and from the exact same spot as Rockys centre back again chipped Aldi from 35 out and once again the game was locked up Halftime in the big dance 2-2 The second half would see a massive momentum swing and Rocky an exceptional second half team would come out firing on all cylinders applying tremendous pressure and it would finally take its toll and 10 minutes into the second half Rocky would hit the lead after a fantastic run by their left mid who centered the ball for a tap in finish The Avengers would need to lift as Rocky applied the blow torch and it would be Brocks partner in crime Dom the Gun that would answer the call slipping his way through gaps only he could and with 20 gone in the second half Dom would lock it up again and it was all tied up The equalizer would put the wind in the sails of The Avengers and Brock the Rock would take off from 40 out beating 3 defenders rounding the keeper and finishing to send the sidelines into raptures and The Avengers had re-established the lead and momentum Brock would be switched to keeper to close out the game and Aldi would be unleashed on the pitch to give the squad a burst of speed With 10 to go and holding a 1 goal lead the Avengers would hit full stride and their speed demons would come into play with Sam breaking free on the wing burning down the sideline and swinging a ball into the box for a 1 touch finish from the gun Dom Sylvestri and driving a nail into the hearts of Rocky 5-2 ,and The Avengers had all the run. With time ticking down there was one final magical moment and co Captain Shak The Maestro Daiby would find space drive and shoot to net the goal of the day and finish a fantastic game with a fantastic goal Full time SPFC Avengers 6 Rockingham 3 Best on ground Blake Skip Simm Top 4 Cup MVP Marcus mr Fixit Fitzgerald A remarkable final and The Avengers etch their name in the Sutho history books as the most successful junior squad ever with their 4th consecutive top 4 cup and completing the triple double of 3 consecutive league titles/ top 4 cups A very memorable day and a very proud father, coach and President Well done boys and Eleanor on a fantastic finish to the year See more

15.01.2022 After a heart breaking 2-3,loss in the opening round away to Canning City our under 14s would seek redemption when they hosted Fremantle City on a typically wintery day at Sutherlands Park It what would turn out to be the game of the round , Deens 14s turned on the class and would run amuck in the first half to lead a hapless Freo City 7-0 The second half would see Freo hit back and score a couple of goals of their own before the rampant home team would calming slot another 9 second half goals to run out 16-2 winners and comprehensively take the points Well done to Deen and the squad and hopefully they can keep up the good form

10.01.2022 A beautiful sunny morning had The Avengers travel to Kwinana To play Queens Park in our Top 4 cup semifinal Queens are the only squad to have beaten The Avengers in the league this year and the 20 goals scored in their last 2 league matches had them in exceptional form Both squads featured some of the leagues most entertaining midfielders and the 4 center kids didnt disappoint early with a tight and hard tussle unfolding in the middle The Avengers would be able to gain t...he upper hand in the arm wrestle unfolding and produced the first 4-5 genuine shots on goal but an unusually off day for The Avengers strike duo Brock and Dom would start unfold and The Avengers would struggle to hit the back of the net . A classic tussle was unfolding in the middle of the pitch with Queens midfield gun Thang unable to find space and he was shifted out wide and immediately had an impact drawing a penalty ,the big Queens Centre back Charbel was able to convert After controlling most of the first have and having twice the shots on goal The Avengers would go to the break trailing 1-0 The second half started with a flurry for the Avengers with Capt Brock fouled in the box , but our inaccurate shooting would continue and the skipper would fire his penalty over the crossbar 10 minutes late another foul in the box would send strike partner Dom to the spot and again We where unable to convert the penalty with the Queens keeper making a crucial save 15 gone in the second half and trailing speed demon Aldi was brought out of goals and the move proved crucial as 20 minutes in Aldi came to the rescue and scored the equalizer and get the wind back into the sails of The Avengers The equalizing goal would wake the sleeping giants and Brock Dom and Aldi would sweep into top gear with Dom finally finding the back of the net and with 5 to go score his second and in a flash The Avengers had shot out to 3-1 and a classic semi final would finish 3-1 and The Avengers progress to next weeks final and a show down with Rockingham after they overcome a 2-0 deficit to beat Aubin Grove on penalties Well done to both Aubin Grove and Queens Park on great seasons and courageous efforts in the semifinals But next week promises to be another titanic clash between the Avengers and Rocky with only 1 goal separating the 2 teams after 3 clashes this year The Supreme Plants Best on Ground Shak The Maestro Daiby See more

03.01.2022 Deens 14s travelled to Canning City for round 1 hoping to take some pre season form into their first game . A tough and close tassel had the home team narrowly knock over the Spartans with Canning City taking the points 3-2 Solid effort by our 14s and a bye next week gives them plenty of time to prepare for their next clash
03.01.2022 Round 17 and The Avengers would travel to Lark Hill and lock horns with 3rd placed Rockingham , the only team in the league we where yet to defeat The game would start at a frantic pace with both squads playing quick fast attacking football . Rockys big fast backline was constantly being tested by the Avengers potent strikers Brock the rock and Dom the Gun and it would be captain Brock who would open the scoring with a tremendous free kick from 35 out The Avengers would th...en hit full stride and the Gun Dom Silvestri would add a second to have the hosts in trouble at 2-0 with 5 to go in first half The Avengers would stay firmly on the attack but failed to capitalize on the mountain of possession and the half finished 2-0 to the visitors The second half would again see The Avengers unleashing a flurry of attacking raids and 5 minutes in Dom would add his second and have the Avengers in a strong position at 3-0 up The game would continue at a frantic pace and Rocky would continue to push hard and a uncharacteristic missed Clearance would open the door for the Rocky striker who gladly accepted and opened their account 20 minutes into the second half The goal gave Rocky their second wind and 5 minutes late The Avengers would fail to clear a corner and Rocky pounced to score their second and it was game on Unlike the past 2 encounters that had ended in draws The Avengers where able to hold their metal and finish the game 3-2 winners and keep our slim hold atop of the table with 1 round left to play Pinjarra Bakery Best on ground in a thrilling match Ahren Padayachee Who also takes the $20 for lunch money curtesy of Supreme Plants Big game bonus Onward to Baldivis at home next week in the final league match and a win should see the Avengers take out the league See more
02.01.2022 Round 16 had the Avengers hosting top 4 cup hopefuls Queens Park in what was a crucial game for top 4 cup placings Both squads would start the game well and at a frantic pace With Queens Park having the first 2 real chances and fill in Keeper Jordon did well to deny the sharp shots on goal Captain Brock the Rock would open the scoring 10 minutes in and with his first shot on goal put The Avengers ahead Queens Park would strike back almost immediately and would then stun t...he hosts 10 minutes later to take the lead 2-1 and apply some pressure to the home squad and hold a slim lead at halftime The second half would resume much similar to how the first ended with both squads playing fantastic passing football through the middle and home ground hero Shak the maestro enjoying a titanic battle with Queens midfield master #7 The game would continue to be a arm wrestle , with Sam finally able to equalize for the host 15 minutes into the second half and the game would lift another notch Great football from both teams would see keepers from both squads make crucial saves , but with 20 gone in the second half it would be the visitors that would strike a telling blow and hit the lead after catching the hosts on a swift and precise counter attack and take a 3-2 strangle hold on proceedings The Avengers would toil hard to find an equalizer and in the dying stages would push everyone up in an effort to score , in doing so Queens where able to utilize the vacant space at the back and finished the game by scoring a forth and handing the hosts their first league loss of the year Running out deserved 4-2 winners The Avengers will rue their missed chances and although key players where unavailable all credit must be given to a much improved and impressive Queens Park for a fantastic win Best on ground # 7 Queens Park With the hosts best being The Shadow Mozzy Next week another tough clash with Rockingham at Lark hill , and a MUST win game for the Avengers if we wish to win the league Hopefully yesterdays lesson in humility will snap the Avengers into line and our best football is ahead of us See more
