11.01.2022 WOW! What a fantastic 50th Birthday Bash!! Sutherland Little Athletics went off with a burst of colour! Well done to all athletes that competed in the first Sutherland Little Athletics Gift Races 2020, it was a huge success! Congratulations to the finalists of the Junior Boy and Girl and Senior Boy and Girls races (finalists have been listed under AWARDS on the website).... A special mention to the race winners - Junior Boy -Lyam Pese Junior Girl - Maddison Lakomy Senior Boy - Rohan Murray Senior Girl - Matilda Kane Thank you to Steve Simpson the Sutherland Shire Mayor who presented the prizes to the winners and also to our Life Members and former SLA families who attended the celebrations. You would think after competing in the gift races and the 400m obstacle course (some age groups did this multiple times) that you wouldn't be able to run another 400m but they definitely DID and with such smiles on their faces and full or colour. Such a great way to celebrate the last 50years of SLA. A special mention to our major sponsors for donating the prizes - Runnulla at Cronulla The Running Company at Kirrawee Rebel Miranda and Gymea Trade Union Club We couldn't run such an event without a wonderful Committee and Age Managers and Families. 10.01.2022 Parent Duty Week 6 November 14th: Thank you to the families that have been completing their duty each week. But a reminder to parents/carers that all families are required to do a duty, we have noticed some families have not signed up for duty in the past 5 weeks. As of this Saturday we will be checking our lists against athletes competing. We have the possibility of going to a 3 week duty roster if all parents/carers can fulfil their duty on their required weeks.... 05.01.2022 Some families are being very patient as they wait in their car for a decision on today's comp. They have certainly got into the Halloween spirit. Sadly we had to call it off.
