24.01.2022 Are you looking to upgrade your heavy vehicle licence? not sure if you are ready to do a full day course? Why not do a 2-hour training session first! We have sporadic 2-hour slots over the next few weeks, if you think this is something you would like to have a go at, why not give our office a call We have vehicles from Light Rigid - Multi Combination, for both ACT & NSW licence holders!



24.01.2022 Our trainers spent the past two days ‘brushing up’ on 4WD skills. The weather today was perfect for some practical exercises in Kowen Forest. A huge Thankyou to Glen for travelling from QLD to impart his expert knowledge!

23.01.2022 A very cute visitor came to TISC today. Ted is an explosive detection dog with the AFP. Our training team also did some motorcade drills ready for an upcoming course. TISC utilise the expertise of current and former AFP members when developing training courses and programs. We are very grateful to have this capability.

As an essential service, Sutton Road Training Centre will be providing the Transport Industry with continued training to ensure that Truck Drivers and Forklift Operators are ready to deal with the increasing demands on the Freight Task. Please know we are taking all practical steps to ensure that our training environment remains as safe as possible for you, and our own staff.... We are: Continuing to wipe and spray all of our vehicles, high contact surfaces (steering wheels, door handles, mirrors and seat-belts with anti-bacterial cleaning products between clients, breaks and at the end of each day. We will also supply masks and gloves for those who wish to wear them. 14.01.2022 Today was exciting for Peter, completing his HR non-synchro (18-speed road ranger) licence. Peter completed this over 10-hours, coming straight off his car licence. On average it takes someone 20-hours before they are near competent to sit an assessment with this gearbox. A good listener, trainer, and persistence! Well done, and good luck for the future. 09.01.2022 Management and staff at Sutton Road Driver Training are diligently taking precautionary measures for COVID-19. Dealing with the risk of COVID-19 is critically important to the health, safety of our students and staff is our highest priority. Some of the measures we are taking, include but are not limited to:... Information sheets and posters displayed in all areas and classrooms Provision of alcohol-based hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes and tissues All high-contact surfaces are cleaned pre and post-use for vehicle surfaces Briefing students of hygiene practices and notification procedures for suspected illness Stay kind to one another :)

08.01.2022 What stunning weather it was for training today! A cheeky game of hare and hound on the skid pan and some professional Action Bus drivers learning some Defensive Driving manouvres.

08.01.2022 Thanks to Kayla from the Australian Trucking Association for showing the TISC staff through the SafeT360 Truck. This truck is an amazing initiative that travels to schools and other areas to give people a better understanding of the challenges that truck drivers face and how other road users can safely share the road with them.

04.01.2022 TISC is the only RTO to deliver the Nationally Accredited CROIERG Course. Upon completion of the three day course - Industry Responders can respond to road tanker incidents. Six students successfully completed the course run over the last three days. The instruction was first class and it was delivered by highly experienced trainers.

We ask that you help to keep them safe by s...lowing down to 40km/h when passing a stationary or slow moving emergency vehicle (with red and blue flashing lights).
