12.01.2022 Charcoal portrait of my dear mum in her younger days. Charcoal is such a lovely medium to work with. A touch with the finger here and there creates subtle form and shadow. I pick out highlights using a kneadable eraser.
11.01.2022 Well after much prompting I've finally created a fb page to promote my art. People frequently ask me what kind of artwork I do and where they can view it so here it is. I am hoping to post regular updates with some of the activities I have been up to including speed portraits at the boat shed markets on Sunday mornings and little projects here and there. 10.01.2022 Hi all. It's been a while but that doesn't mean I haven't been busy playing in my art studio. I've been overwhelmed with the response and feedback so far through the boat shed markets, fb etc. so thankyou to everyone for the encouragement. Stay tuned to see the latest pieces I've been working on. These paintings are a sneak preview of a series for a possible exhibition later in the year, a little different from my usual work.
06.01.2022 Just letting you all know I'm still here and haven't fallen off the planet. Circumstances have changed slightly and I will not have the time I need to put 100% into art until August hence no Boatshed market I am still able to do small pieces however. If anyone needs something done for a gift etc., eg pet or other portrait done in charcoal, feel free to send me a photo via message. God bless
05.01.2022 BOAT SHED MARKETS this morning between 9.30 and 1pm. Quick 20 minute charcoal portraits from a sitting on site OR bring along a photo for a more detailed piece or just pop down, say hi and check it all out.
05.01.2022 Well the sunshine lured me back down to the boat shed markets on Sunday with my charcoal and paper. It was so good to be back amongst some very fine locals and their produce. Hoping to down there at least once a month maybe twice but will keep you informed on this page and also in the boat shed market information site.
