23.01.2022 Circus skills with the added element of water

23.01.2022 Just a boy and his dog

23.01.2022 The love of the journey continues, with highs and lows in everyones story, always aim to keep your head above water. The latest update: Although the fuel pumps have chosen to delay our passage north, we find the neighbours keep changing when you spend time on a marina is a positive. Always jumping in to lend a hand to a boat berthing nearby, is appreciated to those new or experienced captains by grabbing a rope to assist them. Reaching out to someone unknown, even when not ...expecting is internally rewarding. We have been Aiming to complete needed jobs, affording them is another story..... so back to work I go. Boat schooling presents its challenges, which Kristy just excels in, as distractions pass by every window.... yet the boys are absorbing life experience that no class room can give. Indigo is always assisting me where I need him, from running engines to general maintenance. Arctic has gained attention riding his 7ft unicycle down the wharf at 1430hrs to entertain the day trippers returning from great Keppel. His cooking is fantastic, his delicious donuts on scewers = trouble. So Keppel bay marina is not a bad place to be, safe n secure from the weather and a mountain with endless views..... well worth a visit on your way to great Keppel island for a weekend. See more

17.01.2022 Great Keppel island......Arctic on adventures..finding anchors, fishing and helping Colton aboard Sv Shannon replace his mast lights. Captain Indigo driving skills.

17.01.2022 1770 has my heart in so many ways. Thank you for being the ‘perfect ‘ place to transition from land to sea life. Just like it has held us as we exchanged vows of love to my beloved on the headland and give birth to my babies.... Countless visitors delighted my heart daily dropping in for a cuppa to Arctics first job at the Rusty Pelican fish and chip shop on the marina, it has been fabulous being in what we call our home/heart town of 18 years of growth and adventures. As we set sail, leaving the safety of the shore, we leave behind all that is familiar, in the expansiveness of the unknown. Trusting in the ebb and flow to carry us deeper into the eternal moment of NoW, all that really exists.

16.01.2022 Tuesday - Drifting back through Great Keppel for the evening, let’s indulge with some Oysters. Quick lesson and away we went....unfortunately, sailor found a few sharp spots. Poor paws. Wednesday - Heading through the Narrows.... pop out the other side tomorrow....

16.01.2022 Even though power systems are failing, no engine gauges, port engine intermittent operating. We’re still enjoying every part of the adventure. Navigating the Narrows, north of Gladstone, voyage adjusted due to mechanical and electrical issues. We will get to the outer reefs on the next voyage. Returning for repairs.....

12.01.2022 Create that which you Dream.....

10.01.2022 Nautical 40th with Ohana To love and be loved

07.01.2022 Right here....right Now...... they say, don’t just dream. GO..... so we did.

07.01.2022 Just an update.......as It’s not always sunshine, turquoise water and turtles......Currently held up at Keppel bay marina for the last few days. Holding out for the wind to ease......it is a very comfortable marina with many services available to yachties..... My head in the engine bay (& phone, I dropped in bilge, oops) .....Although engines had been serviced in my absence (at work) and some parts requiring repair in Agnes water, they did not last long. 6hrs running out fro...m 1770, all coolant lost in both engines....just the start of my list of problems....This could of ended the trip with overheating engines or cooking them and requiring a tow home...... who would be liable? As I do at work, multiple routine engine inspections this would of not been noticed. So My idea of paying someone to take the burden off my shoulders of worrying about engines, was short lived, but well priced. Cost More than a replacement/ reconditioned engine for one (1) of my little 3 cyl kobotas. Sadly, my days and night have been stuck in the engine room and not with my family. Supposedly a fuel supply issue now that was fixed, now shutting down stbd engine & hose clamps done up in places you can’t access, I just don’t get!!!! Finding an experienced mechanic is defiantly priceless. Experience (good or bad) makes us great. Lesson learnt..... get a recommendation..... Back to the engine bay.... the journey continues.
