17.01.2022 Fun Fact Friday Windshield wipers were invented by a woman. Mary Anderson was visiting New York City and noticed that a streetcar driver had to keep his window open during rain in order to reach outside the car and manually clean his windshield. Auto companies claimed the device that she patented (a windshield wiper), had no commercial value but her specific design soon became a standard feature on cars. AFTER her patent ran out, no loyalties for Mary!

16.01.2022 Do you often find your cars battery is flat in the morning or you don't get the battery life you expected from a new battery? You may have a parasitic drain, sometimes a quick test won't reveal the issue and as you can see only after 5 hours does the problem present itself causing a shorter battery life and an occasional flat battery. If you're having issues with your vehicle contact the experts for all your diagnostic needs!

15.01.2022 A little insight into one of our specialist diagnostics tools... Claire’s car had poor braking performance. With our specialist knowledge and equipment we were able to quickly identify that the brake booster was leaking vacuum and required replacement. The tool you can see being used here, aids us in identifying a lean running condition created by the failed brake booster. A new brake booster was fitted and now Claire’s car has better braking and engine performance.

We have been taking extra care of our hygienic processes as of late and making sure we are doing our bit to manage cleanliness. This includes; disinfecting the vehicle before and after use wearing gloves at all times... using thoroughly cleaned tools social distancing when talking to customers washing hands thoroughly Our vehicles still need attention and at this time we are still operating but with the utmost care and consciousness.

01.01.2022 We are getting a facelift! We’ve been working with @studiotongueincheek these past few months to produce a fresher, more appropriate brand for SVQ. Even though we’re still kind of new ourselves, we feel it’s better to invest now in strong and memorable branding so we can establish ourselves in the industry. We’re so grateful for the support we’ve already had along the way but we’re excited to make some new friends too and continue to grow and build. Hopefully our branding will help us to do just that!
