24.01.2022 Not one - two of our Snail of Approval recipiens won a business award over the weekend. Congtratulation to Araluen Hagan 14K Brewery and Tina Mettam West Coast Honey . The Snail of Approval certificate recognises authentic supplier of good, clean and fair food and we are happy to hear about Araluens and Tinas achievment.

20.01.2022 The fires in Australia have taken an incredible toll on biodiversity: forests, farmland, millions of animals, including over 10 million livestock, and several plant species being destroyed. The fire crisis has started to affect food security with the price of goods to be increased by up to 50%. It will take a long time to rebuild the ecosystem and the lives of small farmers and indigenous communities.

13.01.2022 Thank you to all participants for coming along yesterday to our Shrub and Chutney Workshop! A big thank you to Araluen Hagan who did so much preparation and generously shared her knowledge and skills with us. Also thank you to Christine for the ticketing, organisation and delicious morning tea she provided and to committee and members who helped and participants. We all had a wonderful time and exchanged information and ideas. You learn so much more than you expect at a workshop through networking and sharing. We now know that shrub is a fruit based drink that has documented health benefits due to the fermented vinegar used. It can be mixed with soda water or in cocktails and is absolutely delicious.

Learn the art of sausage making with our Convivium leader and Chef from Il Paiolo Catering Vincenzo Velletri.... Join us on the 9th of August at the Gidgegannup Hall for a hands-on workshop on sausage making, where we will be using the pig of TBO - Toutikian Biodynamic Organics Farm in Morangup. We will also be serving a delicious warm lunch where you will get to try the sausages straight away. Every participant will have the chance to make their own sausages and take some home at the end of the day! Limited to 25 participants max.
