05.01.2022 So I call it Wine Not? Wednesday! Its a favorite time of my week to sneak beneath the radar and taste some lovely new wine - thats right, education my friends! Tonight at Swallow well be cracking open the 2019 Ravensworth Sangiovese full of fragrant cherry & spice. This vineyard was hard hit by the fires at the end of last year which heartbreakingly means no 2020 releases from their vineyards but, lucky for us they released their new vintage 2019 Sangiovese early this year and have some sneaky side projects in the pipes throughout this year! Watch this space for news on Ravensworth, one of our serious faves at Swallow Bar!

02.01.2022 We want to take a moment to express some gratitude and get some things out! Its been one hell of a year, and it aint over yet! Curve ball after curve ball, the last months have challenged us in a brand new way. Swallow Bar has been on a full on journey, and because of our extremely dedicated and hard working team, we are still kicking.... We are so grateful to our loyal supporters as well as new faces that constantly arrive at our door full of enthusiasm and an appetite for delicious food & wine! We wouldnt be here without you! While it looks like business is back to normal, it is not there yet.... Due to Government Restrictions we are still operating at only half capacity - which means we can only have 36 people in the building at any time. We are always so sorry to turn people away (it hurts in many ways) - but we are committed to doing the right thing, and to prioritise the health and safety of our customers and staff. Sometimes it might look like there are tables free, and that can be confusing, but unfortunately we are not allowed to fill them all up right now. Please keep trying though! We are taking bookings for the Captains Room & Courtyard, and keeping the front bar for walk ins.
