20.01.2022 Recording electric guitar to get it sitting nicely in the mix can be difficult with many variables in play including amp settings, mic placement and the fact that the guitarist may have preferred settings that make them comfortable when playing, ensuring a good performance. That is where a Re-Amper can really help. A re-amper enables you to playback a recorded guitar take from your computer and run the signal back into a guitar amp where you can adjust amp EQ and mic placeme...nt as you please - then record a new track with the optimum sound for the mix. Re-ampers are similar to a DI Box but covert Line Level to HI-Z, rather than Hi-Z to Mic Level. Note that using a passive DI box in reverse might work, but it's not ideal as it has Mic level, not Line level.
